I was think about posting some of the tricks in "case closed" manga and anime ( I said case closed because if it is not released in America yet they might not want to do it) on the mythbusters forums hoping that we might get them to do a detective episode. like for example conans watch or maybe the rubber band holding the body in place in the ski lounge murder case

Let me Me this clear. Some of those ' Tricks' Will Not work in real life. The case that showed me this was the Four Porsches Case. I mean we basically watched a murder without knowing it was going on. It is not possible to run a fishing line or wire over that distance without someone noticing. Also that case you mentioned. A thin string would have worked as well. The trick is the have it break. I know for a fact that rubber bands get brittle when they get wet.

Maybe you could ask about Conan's reasoning
if they actually work
though this could be bad if someone evil sees it really work XD kidding
BTW, do you know if the survival guide actually work? like pointing the hour hand in the sun could be used as a compass? (episode 33)
Can't understand how it's actually done. I didn't quite get the part about the middle of hour hand and minute hand and the 90 degrees XD
if anyone knows, can you teach me?
It's a very interesting and informative episode by the way XD

I can't see that being mind-blowingly-amazing. You could probably google this kind of stuff.
I'm pretty sure it has something to do with which direction the sun sets and rises and whatever time it is. i.e. the sun would have set more by 5pm than at 2pm.

The using your watch as a compass thing works. You can find how to do it here:

there is a link in line two, just click on that.

You guys could send it in, but I'm sure they prefer something more mainstream, believable and when you test it, it looks awesome.
