[I personally think the movie was ok, but the thing with Conan's tone-deafness and then how he heard that the one note was a bit flat and how he understood Haibara's code with the recorder were a bit strange to me... Otherwise I loved the movie, especially the animation and the music were great! I'm a lover of classical music... <3]

This topic is a little misquoted. It wasn't the most successful movie in 2008. In fact, just going by domestic numbers, it was only #12.

12 is not the to bad though when you talk about an entire year. Anyone know how D.C. movies in the past have faired? Is the amount of money brought in near what it used to be?

Well, in the movie it explains that conan has a perfect pitch that why he understood what Ai was playing and deciphered her message

the day that conan sings good will be the end of Detective Conan
but yah
personally i thought this movie would be very good in Japan
but #12??
even though Full Score of Fear didn't come out as good as i wanted
i guess its not that bad
BUT 13 the Raven Chaser is going to bomb the Box OFFICE!!!

heh. If you look closely, the #12 movie is ranked #12. XD But the #13 movie should be #1!!!!!

personally movie 12 was a bit weak for me
the plot
it just didn't stand out for me
