I just started rereading Detective Conan volumes and then there's the one page on volume 24. It's actually the last page too! :O

conan is talking to Megure-keibu as Kudou Shinichi but his bowtie is down. Anyone want to explain why?

We even have PROOF!
*bang* *bang* *bang* *bang*

urgh ... or at least we ... argh ... gakk! ... had ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ...

*a heavy silence falls down over the dark scene, only to suddenly be broken by a stricken match. In that split second, the newborn light reveals the notorious face and even more notorious hat of a seemingly gentle person. This time however an evil grimace has formed on the face, and the eyes don't show any emotion but pure bloodthirst. The head of the two-faced person rapidly disappears yet again in the darkness as the match is thrown to the oil-covered floor, immediately giving life to small blue flames which grow bigger and bigger until they become yellowish orange. After several minutes, the whole place is set ablaze, but by then, I luckily already died of suffocation, sparing me from a slow, dreadful and painful death.*

DUM DUM DUM DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUM!

-GAME OVER- Try again?

(PS. Sorry for the spam, I just felt like it :-[ )

The funny things about scenes like that one is that in Detective Stories, normally someone who might be the next victim saw who shot or ran away  after hearing a shot and will either blackmail the person or be over heard by the killer and then killed.

Could he be using the earring cell phone? Others theories. he is shown back facing. We can not see it at that time he is using the bow tie or not
Also could be calling from prof. place and might be changing the voice over his phone.

Yes... a was also wondering. Is this also happening the episode of this case?
Perhaps Megure was surprised but did as said because he knows that Shinichi and Conan have reasons for their actions.

I'd rather think of it as a case of "readers being too attentive to details". I remember discovering some serious mistakes in the Harry Potter books too. I think it would be pretty idiotic to make a huge plot twist out of that ...

nah, I just like to invent a load of crap :P I once did some so-called text-based "role-playing" on a Final Fantasy forum 'though, that was pretty fun. But I've never written a real story yet. I like to invent stories, but they never see the paper or the computer

That would be awesome if he was the Black Organization boss. Le'gasp.

Well, it might just be that, but we'll have to check the anime.
