I found this on youtube so I decided to post it and is eng sub too.

I cant wait for 521 & 522 and I heard that episode 523 will be called "The Thing She Really Wants to Ask" and its regular half hour episode that concludes episode 521 & 522 does anyone know if this is true?

I thought they'd jam the two manga storylines into the hour specials until I saw episode 523's title. Now I'm not sure what they'll fit in which episode. Web Newtype has a provisional title for episode 524 that has it as the start of a two parter, so it looks like 523 will be the end of the arc starting with 521.

Kudo's Files has 521 and 522 as specials, and she usually has correct information about episodes coming up within a month. So, I'd trust that they're 1 hour specials. I think she's wrong about what 524 and 525 will cover, though, they'll cover the volume 61 file 5-7 case, if they aren't anime filler.

Why wouldn't they still be hour long specials?  It just means they aren't going to cram everything into two hours when they feel they need two and a half hours.

• I'm thinking the first hour will cover up to Shiragami finding the unconscious Ran. (Return 1-4)
• Second will likely cover up until Shinichi and Heiji begin the investigation on the road. (Return 5-7)
• Half hour will possbily cover the rest. (Return 8-9)

Most logical would be to make all 3 specials, and have them cover 3 chapters each. That might be be a bit slow paced (especially for the first two hours), so I like your adaptation layout. On the third hand... the title of chapter "spoiler.7" matches the title of episode 523, so the 3.3.3 layout looks likely. So, two plodding one hours and a dragnet paced half hour, maybe? Yay?

I thought about the titling of chapter 7 too, but didn't feel it was enough of a reason.  I also don't see a preview of an episode going right up to the end of the episode in terms of what it shows.  Chapter 3 ends with Heiji finding the body with "Shinichi" covered in blood, which it shows in the preview.

Also, I don't think any single episode has ever covered 3 chapters (don't hold me to this), but plenty cover 2 chapters.  Also, Shiragami just seems like the logical ending place for the first special.

i feel like pointing out that episode 42 was 3 chapters anyway 

also, since apparently these 3 episodes will cover 9 chapters, I think it will be 3 and a half for 521 and 522 and 2 chapters for 523

It definitely wouldn't be the first time an episode ended in the middle of a manga chapter, after all.

Episode 42 covered 4 chapters, so HA!   

I maintain that Shiragami is the logical ending for the first special.  It just happens that also ends chapter 4.   

btw: that is probably the best Conan preview that I've bothered to watch (but I tried to avoid them for spoiler reasons for almost every episode so...)

i'm looking forward to this episode.. hehe.. i think it will air tonight ehhee..

woooooohhhhhh!!!!!!!!! i can't wait to watch the episode!!!!!!!!!! i loved it it the manga!!!!!! i feel i'd love it still in the anime version.....

Ah, good call. Maybe the anime staff have learned how to pace the story over the years. (Well, unless 522 only wraps up the first case... I can't imagine what they'd fill it with, though. ::sigh:: Unpossible.)
