I'm surprised at how happy Vermouth seems to be talking to an actual friend for once.

Which really bothered mee, the reveal that scar akai is vermouth should be a big deal, but they made it sound so boring and rushed....without even using dramatic music.
pretty much... next ep should be hot shit but honestly I wont be expecting any special treatment for Bourbon reveal or the ending...

Well this isn't 345, so I don't think Vermouth's dramatic reveal, should overshadow Baurbon's. Vermouth's had her arc, the big reveal this arc is supposed to be Baurbon, so I liked that it wasn't to dramatic.

That's of course, if they make Bourbon's** reveal 'dramatic'. I have my worries that they might not :-\.

That 'reveal' is so lame it doesn't even deserve to be dramatic. :P

yeah I distinctly remember the music sting for 345, nothing like that is needed for a reveal that happens after...10 minutes (which in Conan time is like 10 seconds).

Yeah you got your points there. Speaking of which, In episode 345, since I was an anime-only fan at that time so it was pretty much the most intense episode for me, so while watching the part where Vermouth tell Calavados *Who turned out to be Akai* to kill Jodie my eyes were poping-out, until the most lame music in DC, it just killed the moment's intensity >:(!! Music isn't something to be taken lightly!!

345 music was surely perfect. I'm talking about one specific scene that music choice wasn't good. If we're to compare it with the current I'd say the current music is quite unfitting.

Hmm, minor mistake by the animating team? They show Sera's hat in her room when Okiya dumps her off, and that it is missing from the stand when Okiya leaves, but they never show Okiya going to that side of the cabin and taking it...

@Chek
Spoiler:
Actually the manga panel, in which you'd see the missing hat, is cleverly cut. Thus you can't see the night stand. So, I'm not sure if it's a mistake by the animation team or rather something that is left to the reader's imagination - speaking of, as to when exactly Okiya took the hat away. Maybe he leaves her cabin and returns later after noticing a certain change of the original plan through the bugging device. At least to me it seemed like the Akai reveal at the near end of this case happened to be a rather spontaneous initiative by Okiya...especially since it's a pretty risky one. o.O

It's funny, cause if you actually pay attention to it after watching this previous episode, in episode 701 when the conductor goes to the door, you can see the reflection of his outfit in the mirror

I do really miss that amazing jazz...I hope it makes a comeback eventually.
New episodes typically 5-6 hours after it airs in Japan for both Detective Conan and Pocket Monsters, starting Oct. 2 with Pocket Monsters: THE ORIGIN. Every Saturday and Thursday respectively. ;)

I like Baurbon's theme, I like the vibe it gives off. Still haven't been able to find a soundbite of it outside an episode or an Mp3.

That episode and the entire arc was amazing :-X, it literally blew my mind. This is why I love being an Anime only watcher (The only anime I don't read the manga for), because when you see some of these moments for the first time in animation, it just leaves you astonished. I never expected that ending, and I also love that there were more references to the computer programming agenda of the Bo, I really want them to dive deeper into it in the next Bo arc.

This has officially become my second favorite Black org arc/special of the series behind episode 345. The mind games being played between the Bo and Conan's side during this arc, really made it spectacular and it was reminiscent of the mind games between Vermouth and the FBI/Conan. Vermouth was suburb in this episode, and Bourbon was great as expected. I think the music choice did justice to Bourbon's speech, it really made the situation feel hopeless.

On a side note, it's funny how much of an A-hole Gin can be lol, and it's hilarious that Vermouth saw through his little scheme (I wonder if the only reason she really told him about the plan was so that she could acquire C4). I knew Gin hated the secretive types, but damn he really hates them lol. And the Akai eye thing was classic. I'm interested in where Bourbon goes from here as a character, seeing as him ....returning to his old role would be awkward.. for a lack of a better word lol. I see him just doing his own thing during his investigation like Vermouth tends to do.

In terms of smarts/intelligence it seems like Vermouth has the upperhand on Gin, from every episode I've seen involving the Bo. That isn't a knock on Gin, but Vermouth seems to read her partners and the situation really well, and is only matched by Conan.

So at this point I'd probably put Bourbon and Gin around the same intelligence/skills with Vermouth a bit on top. Followed by Vodka and Korn, and of course Chanti is last for her ridiculous Sniper-Window fiasco in the red shirts case.

I think Burbon has climbed up to my second favorite Bo member, because his intelligence/detective skills are so great, yet he's the first detective of that level to be an enemy.

For the next Bo arc, I hope we see someone who's working the same deals Tequila was, and is dealing with the computer programers.

Also, I don't know if it's been said, but it would make a lot of sense, if Bourbon was actually disguised as the old man who was responsible for uncovering Akai's identity.

I'm gonna watch it again, and then wait for ML to finish their subs, and re watch all 4 episodes.

My only complaint is that, the entire Bourbon arc would have been spectacular but goodness gracious.. the pacing. He was first mentioned in 509, and it took until episode 704 :-\
