I'm guessing they were gonna snipe the bald guy after they got his money?

That explanation certainly stands to reason. But would they really need two snipers for a deal this unspectacular? It was comprehensible when they intended to kill the well-protected Yasuteru Domon, but the partner in the introduction appears to be easy meat in every respect. I’d be glad to be convinced otherwise, but can’t deny that this constellation sheds a rather minimizing light on the organization, whether or not Chianti and Korn are the best of their field and therefore always first choice when it comes to taking someone out from afar.

What really seems to me like a missed opportunity is the decision to not include a member who in my opinion never received enough attention: Calvados. I don’t know if his fetish for Vermouth made him work exclusively under her—if they had involved him, though, they could have portrayed him saying something or even shown his face, which might have released him from merely being a hormonally dominated shadowman. After all, this special episode—not least thanks to Aoyama’s contribution—should go far beyond the usual alternative universe of the movies and be pretty canon despite its nature. Instead of probably repeating what we saw more than once, they should have seized the chance to give some form to Calvados, like they proved in the latest movie that they haven’t forgotten about Jinpei Matsuda.

If he doesn’t enter the stage, that is, which I fear will be the case. I’m looking forward to it regardless, but hope that those responsible know what they’re doing.

In this case id say all it comes down to is because of M20 people are going to be far more interested in seeing Chianti and Korn which is why they wouldnt use the less important ones.

I can practically see the complaints of why calvados wasted so much of the little screentime when you could have had chianti and korn there instead.

Just Imagine that the man who is with Gin and Vodka is actually Calvados being rectruited. It would be a nice tribute to such a fortuneless character....The amusent park thing could be his first "keepaneye" mission supervised by Chianti and Korn.

At that time, Gin from the Black Organization (Hori Yukitoshi) and Vodka (Tachiki Fumihiko) are making a deal with a man at some bar at the Beika harbor. They got an envelope from this man, handed down money, but after they realized this man was a spy, they blew him up with his car.
While huge evil started to act, Shinichi and Ran went to buy her a new phone. And suddenly, a snatching happens, when they were walking at the shopping district?!"
