Of course some of these are given because he's a detective...but still he's just sooooo "main character of this story".
Let's see....rich, a genius, can find more clues and connections then an entire team of police combined, faster then Heiji when deducting, knows the criminal mind better then Hakuba, can kick criminal ass, can avoid Ran's ass kicking with super good reflexes, is very good looking, can sense people's killing aura just because he can, has Agasa making cool gadgets for him, circimstances allow him to get all the girls , knows most subjects better then experts in that field, according to the movie he's also very good at music (violin and perfect pitch), very brave, is a very good person, from the Shiragami-case it appears he can leap from tree to tree, cares deeply for peole around him, etc etc...
Since he is like this for most of his life, it makes does make sense the fact that he's egoistic xD.
I like him whenever he acts like a human being...so whenever he can't sing, jokes around with friends, depend on others and stop doing stupidly dangerous things by himself, whenever he screws up and actually LEARNS SOMETHING and oh of course whenever he acts pervy xD.
LOL You just hit Shinichi right on the spot! LOL (can jump from tree to tree? lol lets not forget ride outside of a car with a girl in his arm like in the latest New York case one).
I loved Shinichi's confidence at first, but I think it's even cooler to see a kid genius detective! And he's just so adorable! Shinichi is hot, just a bit arrogant, pompous, and full of himself. A lot like Haibara (though I like Ai, I have to admit she's a bit pompous).
I like Conan's life. It's not as simple or sappy. It's funnier! I like him learning to be a child again and enjoying his life all over again. He probably sees life differently. He's awesome! Conan rules!!!

You're right! We should just mention all the COOL things Shinchi can do! LOLLLOLLLOLLLL! He would be an awesome boy barbie, dress him up, make him a doctor, a lawyer, and a super hero! Next thing you know, he'll have his own CD, television show, and merchandise and a movie called DETECTIVE CONAN....yeah, I could see it...LOls. 8)
Yeah... they are the same person, but circumstances changed his demanor and personality in Conan form as well as the people around him. The real question is which form do you like the most. I think thats what the person was getting at.
