I think Mitsuhiko would be upset that Ai had concealed a "material fact" about herself - i.e. that she was in fact older than she appeared, and that she was previously affiliated with a criminal organization. He would also take into account the age difference of 10+ years (remember that his other love interest, Ayumi, is around the same age as he is).

With the ammount of murders he has seen, I think he would understand that her life was on the line and that she couldn't tell anyone (who wasn't already into the secret) who she really was.
Mitsuhiko is very mature for his age.
If she would turn into Shio again, I also think he would stop trying but if she stays Ai Haibara, he doesn't have someone who looks 10 years older than him in front of him but someone who looks his own age.
It seems like he has totally stopped crushing on Ayumi by now.

I have to disagree on both accounts. If Shinichi does find a way to permanently return adult form and to be with Ran (of which there is a high probability), I think there's a good chance Haibara will choose to stay young. This is because the detective boys and the professor are the only family she has, so to return to being an adult would mean being alone. And it's already being set up for them to end up together, as not only has Mitsuhiko fallen for Ai, but it's also shown that Ai does appreciate Mitsuhiko's protective and sacrificial manner. I'm a big fan of the paring, personally.

The pairing itself wouldn't bother me, but I wouldn't like Ai staying in her child form and be with Mitsuhiko as Haibara. She basically would live a fake life and lying to Mitsuhiko (she could of course tell him the truth). The other scenario is that Ai return to her original body and she starts dating Mitsuhiko, when she's in her 30's (Mitsuhiko would be like in his 20's).I know 10 years difference, but I'm not bother with the age difference. However, since I don't know what kind of person Mitsuhiko as an adult would be, I won't ship them, right now. The best way for Shiho and Mitsuhiko to get together IMO is to work in the same place, e.g.in the police or as scientists. But, I highly doubt it would happen; there's more chances for Ai and Mitsuhiko to be together than Shiho and Mitsuhiko. Unfortunately, if the former happened, then Ai stays as Ai, and I wouldn't like. That why, I would prefer Shiho and Mitsuhiko. Shiho could be herself and she wouldn't need run away from her past by staying Ai. If Gosho will do epilogue, he could give us the hint of Shiho and Mitsuhiko, e.g. Mitsuhiko starts to work in the same place as Shiho; Mitsuhiko blushes on seeing Shiho and she would say, she looks forward to work with him or any similar situation, which would indicate that Shiho and Mitsuhiko may happen. Their only issues would be Shiho's past and she would need to tell him about being Ai, but they would be fine. Anyway, right now, I'm not shipping this paring, besides my number one pairing in DC will always be Ai/Shiho and Conan/Shinichi.

She does like being alone, granted, but she's pretty young. Far too young to understand what being lonely entire life means.

Plus, Mitsuhiko is smart. And she also knows that. She knows that, and she knows that her life won't be boring/senseless as it would be for example with (stupid) Genta.

And there's one thing more. Mitsuhiko. She likes Haibara, because she's kind of mature and different. I think he's not going to ditch her after learning that she's adult. Ayumi would ditch Conan, Genta would not even notice what "adult' means, but Mitsuhiko rather will stay with Haibara regardless.

I just don't like the idea of Ai staying as a child and growing up again.It would be contradictory with what she said about how human shouldn't change the flow of time.And also that would show she's not strong enough to face her responsibilities and her destiny.Not to mention that using the benefits of APTX, just for selfish purpose while it killed so many people,is horrible IMO.
Now she's forced to stay as a child because there is no cure,but when she'll find out the antidote I really hope she'll use it.The best way to be happy is to be honest with people around her,and not be lying anymore.She doesn't really need to be paired with someone now.
