I am NOT trying to bash him/her but this argument that Aix Mitsuiko and AyumixConan is morally wrong had been going on for years so what do you ( supporters) say to this.

It's not really morally wrong. What is the difference between a 50 and 60 year old? Seriously. I know people who's parents were 12 years apart for god sake. XD Haibara by no doubt (in my opinion) is staying as Haibara so we can just mark her off as a mature seven-year-old as well and if Shinichi stays as Conan or he grows up and sees exactly how much he has to lose by not going for Ayumi then what's the issue? People who use that argument just assume they'll jump into a relationship right away when even as two ACTUAL 7-year-old's it's a bit early for dating. By the time they're old enough to date the mental difference will be long LONG gone.

It isn't pedophilia. It's not like he's twice her age. Nobody would glance at a 30 and a 40 year old couple. Look at THIS couple:

like said earlyer, no one expects Ai and Mitsuhiko to get together instatly. I would also think it would be wrong if they did, but in the version in my head they maybe start "dating" when Mitsuhiko is 17 or something.
As soon as he is in his twenties their difference in age does hardly matter.

At least Mitsuhiko is not affected at all - after all he has no idea that Haibara is older than him so there is no reason why he should behave any different than any other boy his age. So his normal age for "dating" would probably be around the time when he and Haibara get to middle school (in 6-7 years; which would make him about 14 years old at that time). Maybe a little bit later, but at least in high school when they are 15. 17 sounds too late if he is serious and has gathered enough courage to ask her out beforehand.

For Haibara... well, things might be a bit more complicated. It helps though that no one - except a selected few - know about her psychical age. To most of the world she would just be the same age as Mitsuhiko, just a bit more "serious".
Otherwise it depends on what she deems acceptable: Should she behave like her physical or psychical age? If it is her physical age - perfect: Then she is the same age as Mitsuhiko.
Before anyone says "psychical": I think this is a lot more "wrong" than having a relationship with a 14 year old Mitsuhiko. Because it would mean that she would be fine to have a relationship RIGHT NOW, when she is the body of a 7 year old, as long as her partner is mature...

Also, it is not like she initialized the contact with Mitsuhiko - he felt for her because she is fascinating him, not because she used her knowledge as a teenager to seduce him... she shouldn't feel bad for him liking her.

It might be something of a long distant past by then but I still think it would be strange for her. Thats why I said that she might not want to date him when he is 14. (but this could only be me, who didn't see herself going out with a boy at that age)

Anyway, I know no other thread than this to post this.

I hope Aoyama will further develop this pairing, since it´s simply amazing ! Up to this date there were some MitsuhikoxAi moments, but I hope to see actually an episode or two mainly about MitsuhikoxAi in which this pairing is further developed. Kinda like the TakagixSato episodes.
