here is a little question about birthdays. In Israel the number of candles on a birthday cake is x number you lived and another one for the next year. Is this taken from the western culture or is it just another israeli/jewish thing? ???
Well, in most of western culture (as far as I know) the number of candles on a birthday cake is the number of years you have lived. So, one year after you're born, you get a cake with one candle. Are you saying that in Israel your first birthday cake has two candles?
Yes this is how it goes (though I doubt I could blow the candles when I was a year old...). It's like a candle for "the next year." which is kind of stupid because if it's for the next year, then why is it in this year... :-\
EDIT: and my first and second birthdays weren't celebrated in israel. I was born in germany and lived there for 2.5 years.

Well, you see, the only ones who say that are those too stupid to actually finish the game.
