It was near the end of that episode where we meet Shinichi's parents for the first time.
I thought it was pretty good and was interested by it but I didn't actually look it up online for a week or so. In that time I had started to watch Case Closed whenever it came on the tv. After awhile of doing that I looked it up and watched it. I've been hooked ever since.
How I got to DCTP was a little different. I started out watching at detectiveconan.ws but then I learned what a douche the owner of the site actually is so I came here and am much happier.
and now everything is complete now that I am here BWAHAHAHAHAAAA!!!

Re: What brought you here..
I discovered the DC manga first. I had no idea there was a dub anime version. I was looking for a long series, and I fell in love it right away because it is intelligently written.
You accidentally the whole Detective Conan didn't you?Tasai wrote: WHAT IS THIS I DON'T EVEN

Re: What brought you here..
I remember because I watched the second movie with my daughter on the night of her birthday)
glad to know I am not the only person who is married with kids hooked with DCMy wife is japanese
Basically, DC was first aired in my country in 1999, it was dubbed, the channel was new, they put some other good anime, but hooked with DC, was addicted to mysteries since age 10, to me DC had it all, good mysteries, deductions, and most importantly, a Love story, then it got better with the other two couples and the rest of the couples, got hooked up from the very first episode.
unfortunately, they only aired two seasons till 2003-4 (kept repeating old eps.), then got married, moved country, then in one of my holidays back home, put on that channel to see what's up with DC, i think 2006, they were airing ep.188, did not know who was that little girl, who knew who Conan was, then years passed again, till last September, when I came back from a long holiday, was depressed, I had lots of personal problems, did not want to face reality, did not want to do anything or think, so went to youtube to look for something I really love to watch in order to feel better, I remember trying few shows, but they did not have a strong impact on me, then remembered DC, Shinchi and Ran specially ( to be honest, thought the anime was over and I am going to re-watch it till the end). I felt emotionally better for finding the dubbed version -at that point-but they only had 40 something episodes, then looked at the subbed ones in English and was surprised that one of the cases had different script from the one I used to remember, then decided to re-watch with the subs, did not take long to get used to the new voices, I actually love them, loved Japanese language too
then came to DCTP through one of the uploaders who had this web address on his profile page and I recall reading about DCTP in some comments, so wanted to know more about you.
Happy to be here
Every time I want to give up on DC, it manages to bring me back, it brings me back feelings I know that I will never ever feel or live again.

... and sorry if I'm rude, but this sentence is incredibly long. I just think a few full stops would speed up the reading.
