Actually it's the same for me as well. When the anime was airing in Israel (which I didn't watch, but my brother did, so I kinda knew who is Inuyasha), I saw once a glimpse of the start of the second Ending, so I thought SesshoMaru was Inuyasha's mother.

XDXD I would've thought that if my friend hadn't already told me she was human... I read the early volumes out of order :P I was really surprised at the artwork for him the very first time he appeared... it really was extremely feminine, right down to long, detailed eyelashes XD He looks quite manly by the end, though... and his mother looks like he did when he first appeared XD

I think SesshoMaru and Gin could be pals. Both cold-blooded killers with prettyful silver hair and dimwitted sidekicks. They also have cool ways of getting around- Gin has a nice car, SesshoMaru has a two-headed dragon XD

I wouldn't be one to call Vodka dimwitted, a careful analysis reveals that he is actually fairly independent and clever... Only that he answers to Gin makes the two conflict sometimes... Though in your case, the similarities do go together.

I don't really think of Vodka as dimwitted. For some reason I have a hard time thinking of him as evil. Maybe its just because he's always aroud the much-eviller Gin, but he just dosen't seem to me like an insanly bad person...  :-\

By the way, if Gin lacks the skills of dressing up as someone else like Vermouth can, his long, silver hair is actually pretty easy to spot.

Just like when in volume 24 he just randomly walked in the city with his flashy car. As if he was asking for attention. If you notice him, then you are dead, because no one should remember his face. If you pretend not to notice him, you are suspicious, so you get killed by him again.
I was thinking about this myself. Gin just doesn't care. He doesn't seem the least frightened of the cops to just prance in a city with his noticeably unique car and give people "the eye" like in episode 176, and at the same time do some undercover work for the BO. ;D

Yep, guys with long hair=means will kill you if you cross them!

And both kicked the ass of the voice-actor who voiced Inuyasha and Shinichi.

I don't think it's that good of an example. He is clever, crafty, and resourceful- but he has no imagination. His problem isn't that he is stupid, it's that he's inflexible and doesn't function well once his plans are disrupted (you could argue that is the same as being stupid, but I think there's a definite difference). What makes Gin so dangerous isn't only intelligence; it's his ability to sense anything that might force him to change his plans.

Detective Movies Contest 2013: Information Thread  Current Faceoff

"The energies of our system will decay; the glory of the sun will be dimmed, and the earth, tideless and inert, will no longer tolerate the race which has for a moment disturbed its solitude. Man will go down into the pit, and all his thoughts will perish. The uneasy consciousness, which in this obscure corner has for a brief space broken the contented silence of the universe, will be at rest. Matter will know itself no longer. 'Imperishable monuments' and 'immortal deeds,' death itself, and love stronger than death, will be as though they had never been."

Kami, yes, I forgot, InuYasha and Shinichi are both voiced by Yamaguchi-san XDXDXD They also both have important issues regarding their left arms; Gin shoots with it and SesshoMaru loses it
Spoiler:
though he gets it back with a kickass sword that he swings left-handedly
. If Shinichi and Gin transpire to be half-brothers, we're gonna have to accuse him of plagiarism XD

I said I didn't think he was dimwitted! Although I'll admit I probably phrased that wrong.
