I found the plot of this episode extremely weak. Totally weak. Disturbingly weak. Weak in general by an AO standard..but Santa-san torturing Conan made up for it and thus, the value of watching this ep went up. lol
I knew it wasn't going to happen, but I still would've enjoyed seeing Ai in an episode like this. Come on, couldn't you just imagine Conan going, "Haibara...help me! What do I do with this kid?" and Haibara, with her smug like smile, being all like, "Can't help you, Kudo," or a crack about his being a father or something like that? I just wanted someone around to tease him for having to watch Santa-san. I would've even settled for a random Heiji appearance! lol
Anywho, "Santa-san" was just too adorable, going around, delivering presents. That kid is definitely smart for a two-year-old child.
I loved Conan's reaction after taking the girl to the restroom. That'd make a nice screen cap pic for one of these weeks. *coughs* Santa-san being a girl didn't even hit me at that point yet, even though Conan's reaction was pretty much a huge hint for it if you didn't pick up on the one with Ran earlier.
So, at least we now know how Shinichi reacts to kids under the age of six. lol

Santa-san was cute and Ran was nice too. These were the good points.
And Kogoro in the laundry.

I agree that Haibara would've been a good addition to this story. Only then we wouldn't have gotten any baby hijinks, because clearly Santa-san would have been terrified into motionless submission by her very presence, and then the absolute plotlessness of the episode would've stood out too much. So maybe that's why they didn't use her.

Superman = Captain America > Aquaman = Hal Jordan > Wonder Woman > Barry Allen > Thor > Martian Manhunter > The Hulk > Wasp > Hawkeye > [power gap] > Iron Man = Batman > [power gap] > Hank Pym

Well...they could've used a phone scene. =Ppofa wrote: I agree that Haibara would've been a good addition to this story.
