Conan/Shinichi's Relationship Poll: Your favorite vs. the fi

Well....when an anime like this is so long, its more than likely that it won't have a solid ending. Have people ever noticed that all the long animes almost always have cliff hangers? That's because the writers have been doing it for so long that its hard for them to end it. Plus because they have grown attached to the characters, more than likely, Shinchi will end up with neither. Ran might end up willing to wait for Shinchi longer, and the ending will be "Welp, we must keep trying to get an antidote, even though the last one is immune to my body....." Shiho: Well thats okay...there are others....I guess we'll wait and see....Shinchi: "Ran I'll be back for you some day....I promise....just wait for me....." The end. I already see it coming especially by the way it drags on. Obviously the writer doesn't want this to end. (Sorry for my dialogue) ^^

I don't have anything against Shiho, in fact, I like her character a lot, but I don't really like ShinichixShiho. No offence to those who support the pairing; this is just my opinion.

I think Ran really deserves to be with Shinichi because she's waited for him for so long. If I were her, I would have moved on already. It's just what makes Ran-chan awesome!

(afterall you can love 2 person at the same time and the same strength but in different way no?that's what i think about them!)

i would be so happy to see a scene which proves how much he cares about ai,and how much she's important for him(like in vol 34) but not  as a lover(as a very close friend and confident, or a sister) cause it's obvious she's not a simple friend for him

Ran didn't wait for shinichi for THAT long.. yeah, DC has been going for more than 10 years, but that is in OUR time
Whereas in DC universe, time doesn't move at all..
(or maybe it does moved, but only been for few months, or around 1 years at most)

So the reasoning of Ran being Awesome for kept on waiting for Shinichi, doesn't seem that awesome anymore to me..

Unless she waited for 10 whole years for Conan to become Shinichi again  (it's OVA, It's dream, so It's canon..)

First comes first: "Deserve" isn´t a good choice of words in my opinion, it comes from "gain" and when you think you "derserve" someones Love cause you "gained" it in some way, then this way of thinking is really wrong in my eyes.
If you would put it that way, Ai also would "deserve" Shinichis Love, she let him go to be with his dream girl, works every night and day to find a antidote and is always there when he needs her and so on.
Kinda stupid arguments you think? True, but the same also goes for Ran!
To say, she deserve him and everything about him cause she waited for him is an false interpretaion for my taste.

She deserve his love, cause he GIVES it to her (even thought she doesn´t know about it) and she shows thats she is ready to HOLD his love.
Love isn´t something you can gained with nice doing (well, it doesn´t always count...) like getting points or credits in a game, it´s something another person donates to you, the only thing you have control over is to prove that your worthy of it and love back the same way.
So for my opinion, Ran did it the right way cause she trust (not always, but most of the time) Shinichi and waits for him.
Also, still in my opinion, Shinichi did it the wrong way, cause he only thinks about protecting her and kinda let the chance flow to tell her everything and to trust her in the same way she did/do.

Thats also one (of many reasons) why i like Ai and Conan interaction. I get the feeling both know how much they can trust the other one, how much and what needs to be said between them and when the right time is to scold or to cheer the other one. For them they get a good communication and a great chemnistry, something i miss about Ranichi since Vol. 1.

Sorry guys, when my post isn´t clear enough or my thoughts may upset some of you.  :)

ooooo that's an idea! :0 very Time Traveller's Wife, or like one of the short stories that Gosho also wrote...

somehow though I think the relationship aspect of DC (for Shinichi at least) would be pretty simple and lighthearted, so I think there won't be such dramatic endings. :/

wow!your description of love is quite long but it's true!!i don't think that someone has to be with someone else just because she "deserves" to be with him!or else,ai has to be with conan because she always help him with Ran although she has feelings for him! or because she has suffered a lot in her life compared to Ran,she has to get the man?
you all know that it doesn't make sense!


in love we don't have to prove we deserve to someone,it's a feeling you have or not,whatever if the person you love is good or bad,or else you can't be youself completely  (i don't say that ran and shin don't love each other,but the reasons people give about" why they should be together "aren't good for me)

the fact that ran wait for shinichi (mostly because he ask her to wait for him) is not enouth to say that she has to be with him( even if it would be sad for her to wait for nothing i agree )

He would've have just write 2 different kind of ending, which also mean 2 different books for sale..

(I kind of admire the people who voted for Shiho:Shiho, I mean.. Why do people think that they end up together in the end..? Ran x Shinichi are "supposed to be together" so they'll come together. Whether it's Conan x Ai, or Shinichi x Shiho, doesn't matter at all either way.. We win this 10 years full of hardship if any of those 2 pairings make out in the end..

They are both same person aren't they ? it just that Conan x Ai pairing are more cute than their adult version (Moe factor ?  ;D)

@ AICHAN = If you asked me, as a genuine and hardcore fans of Haibara, i would support this couple till my last breath.. We might lose the war if gosho decided to step on our hope, but we still win the fight since Haibara got more dominance and fan base throughout the entire DC story..
