Yeah...If he told Ran now...Ran would be the naive one to tell the BO "Shinchi, yes I know him..." And as boring as their romance is....She's only just sitting there...waiting for him to confess....It would be more interesting if AixConan got together...then that would make for a twisted turn of events and it would get rid of the repetitveness of THE CHILDHOOD FRiend that is found so commonly in Japanese anime and would stop the endless dragging and annoyance of him trying to tell her crap and she just crying and crying.....

What could be happn if Ran would know? NOTHING.
Heiji knows it since 15 years(or months xD) and he is still alive (lol xDD)
Okay, but Eusike already had affiliation with the BO BEFORE he met Shinichi, so he was already in danger and it wouldn't have mattered if he knew because he was already in danger with the Bo. Ran, on the other hand, has NO affiliation with the BO and so Shinichi wants to keep it that way by not telling her so he can protect her. Eusike was advised to join the Witness Protection program, so he was very much in danger just by being Kir's brother. And his father was a part of the CIA! Most of the people who know about Shinichi's condition already have affiliation with the BO and are in danger.

Heiji is the only one who isn't affiliated with the BO in any way and knows because he's a nosy detective.  ;) Think about those who don't know....Takagi, Satou, Megure, Kogoro, Sonoko, Ran, Shiratori, Kabayashi, etc! they aren't related to the BO in any way.

As far as we've seen, Gin doesn't even know Eisuke exists. Eisuke doesn't really know much about the Org., Conan/Akai refused to explain when Eisuke asked about them. The "link" Eisuke has with the Org. is a very tenuous. Hidemi has been cautious enough to avoid throwing suspicion on Eisuke. Unlike Ran who was already put in danger by Conan making Gin suspicious and her encounters with Vermouth.

Deffinitly right! I think Ran will be very important for the BO because Vermouth doesnt want she to be injured.. so vermouth can/will be against the bo if they would want to kill her..

The BO have no idea that there even is a Ran and that Shinchi knows her. If they were to find out she would be as good as dead! Eisuke was in the situation of Akemi, Ai's sister. He's got family in the mix up and he already knows that the BO exists. Ran, as long as she doesn't know will be safe. Ran doesn't even know what a black organization is or about anyway it would have to do with Shinchi. And shinchi would like to keep it that way because she is obviously liable to do something stupid to make him have more to worry about.

NO! He doesnt want her to be injured by this organisation!
She wouldnt do something stupid!
He wants to tell her about the truth but ai and agasa dont want it, because she can be in danger than.
And yes the bo doesnt know smthng about ran but vermouth do and she is the favourite of the boss dont forget this!

{ep 345/425 spoiler}
Spoiler:
The Org. put a hit on the Mouri family already. The only reason Ran wasn't in immediate danger was Haibara kept her from going home with Kogoro. I'm pretty sure the Org. would know the "incompetent detective" has a daughter. Also, last I checked, Vermouth was still part of the Org., and Calvados wasn't firing blanks when Ran protected Haibara.
At this point, it's not even arguable that the secret has kept her "safe". "Safer", possibly, but even that is doubtful, since, as Haibara well knows, Ran doesn't need to know about the Org. to end up risking her life to protect them from Org. agents.

What on earth?  Did this thread suddenly develope a love rival vibe?

We already have a million bajillion threads dedicated to couple wars.  Geeze.

---

I don't think Ran is in immediate danger....unless she sees someone else in danger.  If she sees Haibara at gun point, she'll jump in the way.  If she sees Haibara about to get hit by a car, she's also jump in the way.  Really there's no helping it xD I'm sure she does this automatically for everyone - but especially for the people she cares about (Shinichi, Sonoko, Haibara, etc).  Gosho -hinted- that we shouldn't underestimate how much trouble Ran can get into (you shouldn't underestimate woman).  And I guess it showed by how she went to confront Jodie all by herself (omfg why) when she suspected Jodie as someone dangerous to Shinichi.

Like Nyarl said, if Gin ever gets Vermouth out of the way Mouri Kogoro is in danger and I'm sure the B.O. won't leave loose threads.  If they're going to kill Kogoro, they'll probably kill Ran, Eri, and Conan as well.

As for Heiji he'll definitely be in danger if he was ever with Conan during any of Conan's B.O. confrontations.  Teenage detective sneaking around B.O. = baseball bat.

Eisuke's connection with the B.O. is hard to say.  I'll say he has more of a connection with the C.I.A. because of his family background and his sister.  He does know there's some shaddy business going on and he'll probably find out more if/when he joins the C.I.A.  With that said Conan and Akai never said anything about the B.O. to Eisuke.  I'm surprised Eisuke just let that slide....

Okay, first off, I agree with kirite-chan, mii~ ☆ This topic wasn't meant to be another couple war.

Ran isn't as naive as most people believe she is. People just believe that because of the tears she sheds because Shinichi 'left' her. And she knows that the men in black are evil. Vermouth, remember? Ran is strong. Stronger than most protagonists with this fate.  I agree with kirite-chan that Ran isn't in immediate danger unless someone else is in danger (ie Haibara, Conan, Kogoro, etc)

if i were him, i wouldn't.. not yet. i mean, we all know he's doing it to protect ran, AND that he hates lying to her. it's not his fault, he has to keep it unless the bo's ended.

as for ran thinking he abandoned her.. well, not really, 'cause he calls once in a while, right? and around every 100/200 episodes he comes back..
