But Ran really get on my nerves when she acts like: "Conan-kun?? What are you doing behind daddy?? Are you playing a game??"
or especially when she thinks about Kudo: "Shinichi where are you? I need you! What would you do?" etc...
I hate her way of thinking. She sometimes appears to be strong and sometimes weak, she lost me.
Concerning her karate skills, okay she can fight but seriously - how many times did she give up on it when she could? I remember the time in the Night Baron murder case.
The only good thing I find in her is her courage (or madness, I don't know).
I don't think she's done any of that in years, iirc.
You're responding to someone who used the Night Baron murder case (aired in 1997) as an example of how she gives up on using her karate skills.
Haha you know what? I can't explain but I DON'T LIKE HER. That's all.
I don't like her face, her voice, her attitude, anything! But I ain't saying she's useless.
And the episode's from 1997 for us but in the anime it is like months ago.

We know so many DC fans hate Ran and never want to see Shinichi and Ran together.
Mouri Ran reminds me of Annie Wilkes (Kathy Bates) In the 1990 film Misery.
I don't understand why she cling to Shinichi so desperately.
She must stand on her own legs, and STOP CRYING "Shinichi~~ Help me!! Help me Please~~ Shinichi!! Shinichi!!"

To be fair, while the early Ran has redeeming qualities, it's difficult not to dislike the Ran of the Tori Man case who reaches sky high levels of stupidity. Even if she does use karate in that case, she only does so after some idiotic message allows her to do so which makes her look very foolish. As Slider said, there hasn't been anything as bad since then but such poor writing leaves a mark.

You are making quite a leap here. While it's true Shinichi and Ran won the survey, nothing I read about it suggests the voters also hate Ran. While it might be true some of the voters don't like this character, the survey really isn't about whether one loves or hates Ran.

1. 487 people out of 10.000, which means 9.513 found other pairings more annoying.
2. It's an anti poll, so we don't know how many fans they have in comparison.
3. Just because they don't like the pairing, doesn't mean they also don't like Ran.
4. Compared to the ~500.000 people that bought Volume 86, that number loses its meaning.

When the f*** was the last time she did this? Last time that really comes to my mind is Night Baron case, which was 1997. Come on!

I agree. He's been contradictory about his saying of, "I don't want to see her cry anymore... even if it means I no longer have a place in her heart." The whole business with Eisuke, the confession in London—a fearful reaction to what he sees as Ran actually about to leave him. Even though he's placing Ran and Kogoro in danger, he continues to stay at the Detective agency, after Kogoro was unwittingly sniped, and after he has an ally in the FBI. When it comes to her, he's not thinking rationally. His line to Ran about "distracting emotions" is particularly ironic, and the excuse in his thoughts after Shiho/Ai reminds him of his earlier words is pathetic—"Well, I had no choice... she wouldn't stop," he says, while looking indignantly at Shiho/Ai for bringing the matter up. He seems to forget that the incidents created by his "two-timing tango," as it were, were what led to the situation, to begin with, and his justification carries a connotation of fear of her leaving him—he acts quite selfishly and seems oblivious to it.
While Ran wants Shinichi to return, and becomes angry/sad throughout Detective Conan when the matter of his absence comes up, Shinichi/Conan doesn't trust her as he acts inconsistently, letting selfish and illegitimately fearful emotion cloud his proper judgment. Shinichi is the one at fault, here—only time will tell if Gosho either lets him get away with it, or forces him to change as he recognizes the consequences.
“Life is infinitely stranger than anything which the mind of man could invent. We would not dare to conceive the things which are really mere commonplaces of existence. If we could fly out of that window hand in hand, hover over this great city, gently remove the roofs, and and peep in at the queer things which are going on, the strange coincidences, the plannings, the cross-purposes, the wonderful chains of events, working through generations, and leading to the most outre results, it would make all fiction with its conventionalities and foreseen conclusions most stale and unprofitable.”

I think a lot of people confuse movie!Ran with the Ran in the anime and manga. Pretty much all of the movies have to have an obligatory painfully cheesy Shinran scene (and I say this as a supporter of the ship), and most usually make Ran a damsel in distress by putting her in hostage situations/positions of helplessness. The anime openings are guilty of this too. None of them are really an accurate reflection of Gosho's writing.

Seconded. Too add some more, since when did Ran (and ShinRan scenes) monopolise the Ending songs? Quite a time ago! Since when was Ran held in hostage/put in danger so often in the movies? Again, quite a time ago! (Movie 1 2 4 6 9 10 11 13 14 16 17 for your reference)
Spoiler:
and Movie 19
People who are not in favor of Ran would not like this situation at all. (Me included) Can't they produce something else other than these more-than-cliches?
STOP putting Ran into damsel in distress for goodness's sake.

1. There must be a good amount of people who don't watch Detective Conan/ShinRan couple at all.
2. We've had numerous polls for fav characters.
3. The majority would still not be in favor of at least one character of the couple. (And which is more likely that they would not like Ran rather than Shinichi)
4. What reasons exist to justify that they won't buy the book when they don't like the main couple? I still buy manga books although I do not support ShinRan.
Not exactly the same scene described, but we can find some in the manga/anime where Ran becomes dependent on Shinichi, right?

In Rans defense, the whole Detective Conan world is dependent on Shinichi/Conan... the police, DBs including Haibara, Agasa, Kogoro and even the FBI... heck, I would like to say that the BO isn't dependent on Shinichi... BUT Vermouth also depends on him! XD

Not Vermouth, if you ask me and I don't really think Haibara is relying too much on Conan either.
BUT CONAN IS WAY TOO HIGH-RATED! I mean there is a definite imbalance of character abilities...
