Okiya: (laughs) That's a rather harsh thing to say. *pauses* I'll protect you with my own life... princess.
The chapters for the entire case go from 809-812.
The dialogue in the manga is a bit different, unless I'm looking at the wrong scene with them....
This below is from the last page in chapter 810:

An older episode which has had the quality of its sound and/or picture enhanced. Sometimes various scenes are added, removed, or changed. When used in the Detective Conan fandom, it often implies that the weekly timeslot for Detective Conan is rerunning a remastered episode instead of showing new content.Akai Shuuichi wrote:Umm guys what does a remastered episode mean?

Alright, I don't have much info regarding these Japanese honorifics, but I have a small inquiry. Over the time I've seen "chan" used to express good friendship rather than "san" which is used more generally and sometimes formally. Throughout the series, Sera addresses Sonoko and Ran using "chan", but mostly they reply with "san" Also she addresses them with their first names while they reply with her last name. Isn't that considered rude or a denial of friendship. As I already said, I don't have much info concerning that matter, but it just occurred to me while re-watching some episodes. So am I mistaken in something?

(Just putting my thoughts out there) For addressing by first name vs last, I think as long as the person is fine with it, it doesn't matter as much.

From all the honorific info I've either read about or learned from watching too many animes, this is what I can understand about it:
Honorifics are used as a form of politeness. They are essentially saying 'Mr.' "Mrs. 'Ms.' 'Miss' ect.
By not using honorifics (like how Shinichi and Ran address each other) it means they have a really close relationship. Not using honorifics can also be an insult to someone if they aren't close.
'San' is the most common one to use. It is equivalent to 'Mr. 'Mrs' etc..
'Chan' is like adding cuteness to the name (ie: neko=cat, neko-chan=kitty) and it can be used for addressing kids. Sometimes girls use it to address their girl friends. Not very common to be tacked onto boys names.
'Kun' is more often used with boys, but girls can be addressed with it too.
'Sama' is a very polite way of addressing someone. (Essentially they're saying 'sir' or 'madam')
and for whether someone uses the person's first or surname, I believe it falls under the person's relationship with that person. But I think it also goes with how that person wishes to be addressed by the other person.

I don't think so, because if u recall, in the Shinichi childhood case with Ran, he told her to address him using Kudo rather than Shinichi, and he addressed her with Mouri rather than Ran, and she was pretty unhappy about it and even in the end she asked him to call her Ran. For that reason, I assume its friendlier to address someone with their first name.Jecka wrote:(Just putting my thoughts out there) For addressing by first name vs last, I think as long as the person is fine with it, it doesn't matter as much.

So as I said she's addressing with a more friendly honorific, right?milk_hater wrote:From all the honorific info I've either read about or learned from watching too many animes, this is what I can understand about it:

Neither do I, but I would think that a shotgun at that range would do more damage. This could be another case of narrative license though.User 4869 wrote:8 I have no weapon knowledge LolOK, so that's when Conan, pretending to be unconscious, heard the number.User 4869 wrote:Yes Mail are equal message in this and she dialed a phone number. No worries, I got the answer in another thread.User 4869 wrote:12 Sorry, no idea

Another few questions:
1) Episode 425 (Black Impact! The Moment the Black Organization Reaches Out) - When Hidemi loses her shoe, Conan seems to know for sure that it is the one with the transmitter attached to it, how's that possible?
2) Episode 425 again. At the end when Conan jumps out of the car and kicks the ball towards the agency's window, don't the BO (or at least Chianti and Korn) notice Conan, Jodie and James?
3) Why doesn't Ai reveal more about the BO? She must know a lot more and has gradually revealed some info here and there but it would be much better if she told everything right away.
I think that 1 & 2 could be answered with narrative license while the third question is simply because of the plot; why reveal everything at once when you can do it gradually (860+ chapters...) and surprise people.

1 Conan probably notices the shoe bounce from Kir as he notice the transmitter dot is moving (Do he have to turn his glasses on first to see?, if so this answer is invalid). Conan may see earlier (when?) which shoe has it on. Or he could just wild guessing.
2 They notices Conan and Gin order his snipers to shoot the kid too!. James and Jodie are in their car so....
3. She just being secretive. Say , for example... Subaru is on the same side with Conan. Someone he knows (Sera) run around and Conan is left to figure alone who the hell she is.
At first Haibara reluctant to share information is contribute to fear of danger if Conan try to involve himself more with BO. Later(ep 346-347) Haibara resolved to move forward but she still won't tell him anything. (Or Conan himself just won't ask)

I think he usually presses some sort of button to activate the radar thing; if I'm not mistaken he can also change the scale of the radar shown on the glass, so he could've zoomed in and seen the transimitter signal move when Kir lost her shoe.User 4869 wrote:1 Conan probably notices the shoe bounce from Kir as he notice the transmitter dot is moving (Do he have to turn his glasses on first to see?, if so this answer is invalid). Oh yeah you're right, but to me it looks like they should've seen Conan jump out of the car, or at least seen a stopped car in front of the agency and become suspicious of them.User 4869 wrote:2 They notices Conan and Gin order his snipers to shoot the kid too!. I'm over-analysing here though...
Yeah I can see what you mean, Haibara is looking out for Conan, while the latter understands the situation and doesn't press Haibara too much.User 4869 wrote:3. She just being secretive. Clearly Shinichi was not fine with it, but you're right about Ran, I forgot about that. Ran wanted it to seem like they were close but he obviously didn't.Akai Shuuichi wrote:I don't think so, because if u recall, in the Shinichi childhood case with Ran, he told her to address him using Kudo rather than Shinichi, and he addressed her with Mouri rather than Ran, and she was pretty unhappy about it and even in the end she asked him to call her Ran.
