Well, maybe it was just me but Takagi seemed a bit overeager. But that resignment letter joke was great. Esspecially when Kogoro reused it.
I disagree, it shouldn't have been a DC movie, it was too much on the comedy side for that. Still, it was a great special and worth waiting for it. Thanks for the translation DCTP crew.

I don't see how excelling in then comedy department disqualifies it from being a movie. When people go see a movie, they want to see a story that they usually cannot get on TV and I think this special fits. If Jolly Roger was made into a movie(it really seemed like a 4 part OVA Case) than this special more than qualifies.

As an equal Conan & Lupin fan, I thought the special excelled where it needed to and accomplished everything that could be realistically done in one special with no set-up. It was definitely unusual and I never expected it to happen (even though I had always wished for it), but in the end, I did love it.

When the raw was on youtube, I watched it and had fun. I thought that due to the fact that I watched the raw, I won't be able to fully enjoy the subbed version, but I was completely wrong. I enjoyed it even more!
Takagi seemed slightly OOC but he was too funny.
