Re: Detective Conan Movie 19: "Sunflowers of Inferno" (2015)
It all depends how Gosho plans to time all the character appearances and cases. Sadly all these breaks are going to make him change the longer cases (7+ chapters) into smaller 4-chapter cases. Notice how Mystery Train was 7 and the finale, Scarlet Series, was only 4 if you count the epilogue. The prologue was part of the case before it.

You mean it's 4 if you don't count the epilogue, and 5 if you do.
More on topic, are there...

“Life is infinitely stranger than anything which the mind of man could invent. We would not dare to conceive the things which are really mere commonplaces of existence. If we could fly out of that window hand in hand, hover over this great city, gently remove the roofs, and and peep in at the queer things which are going on, the strange coincidences, the plannings, the cross-purposes, the wonderful chains of events, working through generations, and leading to the most outre results, it would make all fiction with its conventionalities and foreseen conclusions most stale and unprofitable.”

Re: Detective Conan Movie 19: "Sunflowers of Inferno" (2015)
Hey guys. Sorry I took so long to write this, even though there really isn't much I can write, but as for the teaser for movie 20.... When I saw that, my eyes lit up and thought, "Movie 20 will probably super awesome since it'll be the anime series' 20th anniversary anyway, so yeah. lol
As for movie 19, like I said, I really need to watch this film again. Friday night, I returned home very late. Like at 3:00 in the morning, fell asleep at about 5:00, woke up at 9:00 for work, didn't get any rest or sleep and was partially out of it while watching while trying my best to pay attention. This was my first time watching one of the DC movies focused around Kaitou Kid without subtitles. To be honest, I generally follow murder mysteries easier than stuff invovling Kid without subs for some reason. I did figure out one of the culprits right off the bat and I even figured out the obligatory Agasa riddle to the kids thing. It was really easy. lol That's a first for me.
Anyway, I'm not big on Kid's character in a general sense, but if you're a big Kid fan you may enjoy this a lot since it was deviating from the norm, which is why I was interested in this particular film. It was coming across as different from the other Kid cases. No jewels or anything like that, just him after the paintings. The reason I want to see this again is because I didn't fully understand Kid's motives for going after them in the first place and, like I said, I was so exhausted and half-sleepy during the middle part of the film. I know I nodded off, despite my interest as I wasn't bored or anything. I woke up, I saw Ran and everyone back. lol I was like, "Wait, when did they get back into the story. Wait, Kid is back and disguised as Shinichi again and Sorry for not spoiler tagging part of that, but I'm sure EVERYONE knows that if it's a movie with Kid, that he'll disguise himself as Shinichi at some point. Oh, speaking of that...
So yeah, as you can see, I really need to find the time to rewatch this, but I doubt I'll have the chance anytime soon. I'm still in limbo. I'm not sure about my job situation still and have less than two weeks left here in Japan, unless by some miracle I find a new job before then.

Re: Detective Conan Movie 19: "Sunflowers of Inferno" (2015)
Haven't even watch movie 19 and I'm already thinking about movie 20
If KID ever appears again in future movies he better not disguised as Shinichi. HE'S DONE IT 4/5 TIMES ALREADY! STOP! IT'S NOT FUNNY!
So movie 20 will kinda be like movie 13 or 18 looks like....
....either the plot will come super close to the main manga plot and completly avoid it like movie 13 or it'll give us some hints and glimps that won't spoil the manga like movie 18.
I'm just so excited Bourbon is coming to the big screen, he has quickly risen to one of my top favorite characters in Conan.

I've always liked Amuro myself. He's like Pariston from HxH except with more screentime... Also kind of like a more serious Alibaba from Magi who is great also.
Anyway, if the movie is about Bourbon I guess we'll be getting his flashback around that time but I guess we'll have to wait and see what it connects to and all that...
Movie 18 also explained why Akai is called the silver bullet which was cool.

Predictability should be expected by now. It's no different from the majority of the murder cases ALWAYS having three suspects. It's just become expected, but at least in the Lupin vs Conan movie, Kid was imitated and bothered by it. lolfrankguo8 wrote:Haven't even watch movie 19 and I'm already thinking about movie 20![]()

I hope it's like movie 13 and 18. Maybe the next film will also have some Ai focus. She needs it. I hope for it to involve a lot of her being a target and all. I also hope the FBI shows up. What about Kir? Seriously, so many opportunities! So movie 20 will kinda be like movie 13 or 18 looks like....

I can't believe my hunch actually happened. A BO movie, huh?
I'm just hoping it lives up to the greatness of Movie 18. ^_^

Out of curiosity, has anyone else seen movie 19 yet who can fill in what I obviously missed? It's just crazy (in an interesting way) how this thread has turned into speculation about movie 20. lol We must show some love for the Kid, now. :-P lol

Well, here's a fuller synopsis from the movie programme/pamphlet, it may not cover the whole thing but probably covers most of it.
Spoiler: Big Spoilers For Whole Movie

source : World of KJWeekend Estimates (04/18-19)
01 (--) ¥880 million ($7.4 million), 0, ¥880 million ($7.4 million), Dragon Ball Z: Revival of F (Toei) NEW
02 (--) ¥860 million ($7.2 million), 0, ¥860 million ($7.2 million), Detective Conan: Sunflowers of Inferno (Toho) NEW
03 (--) ¥520 million ($4.4 million), 0, ¥690 million ($5.8 million), Furious 7 (Toho-Towa) NEW
04 (--) ¥370 million ($3.1 million), 0, ¥370 million ($3.1 million), Crayon Shin-chan: My Moving Story! Cactus Large Attack!) (Toho) NEW
05 (02) ¥75 million ($630,000), -35%, ¥2.52 billion ($21.1 million), Assassination Classroom (Toho) Week 5
06 (03) ¥74 million ($620,000), -41%, ¥750 million ($6.3 million), April Fools (Toho) Week 3
07 (01) ¥72 million ($605,000), -56%, ¥390 million ($3.2 million), Solomon's Perjury (Part 2) (Shochiku) Week 2
08 (04) ¥52 million ($440,000), -57%, ¥3.74 billion ($31.4 million), Doraemon: Nobita's Space Record of Space Heroes (Toho) Week 7
09 (06) ¥49 million ($415,000), -40%, ¥240 million ($2.0 million), Birdman: Or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) (Fox) Week 2
10 (07) ¥35 million ($295,000), -49%, ¥2.27 billion ($19.1 million), Into the Woods (Disney) Week 6
11 (08) ¥33 million ($630,000), -50%, ¥2.22 billion ($18.6 million), Strobe Edge (Toho) Week 6
12 (--) ¥25 million ($210,000), 0, ¥25 million ($210,000), Whiplash (Gaga) NEW
Major weekend! Using the estimates, the Top 10 combine for almost ¥3 billion, which is close to being one the Top 10 Biggest Weekends of All-Time, and I think the second or third biggest weekend outside of Summer. (I'll do some research on this later).
Just bonkers for both Dragon Ball Z and Detective Conan, practically opening in major blockbuster territory, and Furious 7 and Crayon Shin-chan also recorded franchise high debuts, too!
The estimates for Dragon Ball Z and Detective Conan are honestly too close to determine which one will be on top tomorrow, though, and even using many comparisons for each doesn't really help figure out which one may have the edge. When numbers are this high, every % point changes the results drastically.
I'm assuming Detective Conan played better than Dragon Ball Z outside of the usual locations (namely Aeon Cinemas), so it's probably going to rank #1 in admissions, but sometimes Toei releases do well at Aeon Cinemas, too, so it's not certain. And I'm going to assume Dragon Ball Z will rank #1 in gross thanks to higher ticket prices, but the 3D share is very low (doesn't look higher than 20%), so if it loses by enough admissions, it's also not completely certain!

The movie has definitely gained popularity from that A1 MK series I guess.

I like how the order of those images makes it seem like Kogoro and Agasa are annoyed at Ran faking being happy. :V
