No, first they would release a fake. Then they may release the real thing, but just maybe. And that would be full of errors and ugly and low quality overall.

Naw, dattebayo is cool. They tend to do pretty high quality work about 75% of the time.

Yeah, but they'd probably freak out at the number of lines.  I remember they used to put subtle complaints when Naruto hit 80 something lines one episode.  As if that were a lot.

Yeah, I also think that there is a HUGE difference between WHAT to sub because e.g. Conan has much talking in it and really depends on it - whereas in Naruto and Bleach is way less talking and it also isn't THAT important.

Compared to Detective Conan - no that isn't a lot. But for an anime like Naruto, it can be considered a lot.

Dont be so impatient!!!  .. u should be happy that they even decided on translating the show for us . also there doing more than jst  dc vs lupin speacial and theyv got there lives to deal with.. id be happy to wait another month for the release  u should too

Dai-chan.... let me clue you in to something... You mentioned DB... You fail to realize that the average Naruto or Bleach ep has under 100 lines in it... And many of those are grunts or names. and that is for a simple 24 minute episode... Hence a day for subbing is reasonable. For this... there are probably something in the neighborhood of 1400 lines. that is over 10 times the amount of Naruto. It hasn't even been a month yet. But just to give you an idea of the gravity of this... Translation /= time of episode, takes much much longer (some might need to research things). Encoding takes more time than the episode. Editing, takes several hours. Timing takes an ungodly amount of time (imagine timing every line to the episode so that it is up the right amount of time) 1400 lines timing to the millisecond... Takes lots of time, at least if done right. QC takes a lot of time as well, especially for such a long episode, making sure it is perfect.

Now if you can find a group that can do a MINIMUM of a weeks worth of work (if done poorly) and do it in 2 days, with ANY degree of quality, I'd be shocked. I think if they get it out within a month at the quality I am expecting (top) it will be amazing. I personally think it should be a minimum of 2 weeks worth, but that is me. You also must take into account that this is being done on their free time, outside of school and legitimate jobs, as well as friends and a social life.

So in short... STFU AND BE PATIENT! Think about the work they are doing for FREE for you. And then wait eagerly for the release like everyone else.

Unless, of course, you know how much work it is, how much time it takes, how much fansub groups give up just so you can be entertained.
