You mean Yamamura -Keibu?

Anyway, yeah... the Detective Boys are really important characters in the series. I've been thinking that when the time comes that Conan and Haibara leaves them, they should be able to stand on their own with Mitsuhiko as the brain, Ayumi as the source of encouragement/bravery, and Genta... Genta... uhmm.. the physical strength?? :D At least for now, the one thing I like about Genta is he has Takagi -keiji's voice. xD

Yes, him! Sorry about that. XD

Edit: Googled it. The Yamamura I was referring to is Misao. Are they the same person?

Speaking of which, I watched a pretty old episode that I enjoyed and starred DB.

Library Murder Case.

DBs are awesome in this episode.

I agree. The DB mess up here (turning on the lights) is also more natural than some i could mention.

My fav DB cases are the early ones where they treat Conan like "that short dorky looking kid". It actually creates handicap for Shinichi as he has to get creative on how to make them listen to him. But then I always found any case where Shinichi figures out the mystery, but can't communicate it to be the most memorable.

I love that "treasure hunting scavenger hunt" case. It's just perfect <3. It's fun, innocent but not stupid (it's DC afterall). Solving the code was more of an exciting game instead of something sinister (though it does get dangerous in the end lol). The scene with all the parents yelling at the kids for getting into danger was hilarious too. You would think they would stop them from hanging around Conan by now lol.

Of course it also makes sense that over time they see the pattern that Conan is brilliant and they should listen to him. Their whole relationship changes as well. It kinda went from a Doraemon feel (brains, brawn, beauty, and dorky kid with glasses that they pick on) to something completely different.

Mitsuhiko is kinda jealous of Conan though he mainly just wants to learn from him.

Ayumi has a huge crush on him and thanks he's the awesomest ever.

Genta thinks he's cool and trust Conan completely. Would still beat him up if he "dates" Ayumi though.
Hey, I have an idea, let's have a THIS SUCKS / NO THIS SUCKS / NO YOU / NO YOU argument for a couple pages, that will really be great. - Ingmar

The DB episodes have always been my absolute favs ever since I started watching... that's 15 years ago at least lol.

(Despite the fact I resent a certain person...................)

But oh my, that episode when Conan keeps making mistakes because the criminal of the week is as kiddish as DB (can't remember ep number)... that's absolutely brilliant lol!

are you referring to 'The Secret of the High Sales' -ep.225 where the culprit actually hid the jewels under the house of the DBs' classmate/schoolmate?..

that one is really damn hilarious..

They're pretty cute, and act about how you'd expect kids to act. Mitsuhiko is smart for a kid. He'll be pretty badass in about 10 years. Ayumi and Genta have a lot of potential too.
They all seem to be learning quickly about police procedurals, and they're getting better at observing important details.

On a related note, does it bug anyone else that they got used to dead bodies fairly quickly?

I love the Detective Boys. They are so cute and awesome! They do look cool in 10 years. Teen Genta looks like he lost some weight and Teen Mitsuhiko is very good looking and a total gentleman. He will have no problems getting a girlfriend.

Mitsuhiko apparently will become a great detective and more down to earth than the cocky Shinichi Kudo. Sherlock Holmes who is the best fictional detective character even needs research to investigate.
Conan just being reckless and more reckless recently. I cant forget how he put everyone in danger in Blue train arc. And for Taii's sake, he even didnt tell Haibara about his deduction. How if everything didnt work well and the bomb exploded? I can only say good bye to all DC casts :D

People (except Makoto who is already awesome and maybe Shiratori) should take notes from this kid on how to be a gentleman. Genta too to a lesser extent. He's more of a /offer service of beating the crap out of bad (not scary) people for you

I love how Genta is like master of fishing xD.

Genta: I caught a fish! Look! /pulls out this giant eel

Conan:....

What

How

THAT FISH DOESN'T EVEN EXIST NEAR HERE

HOW DOES THAT EVEN...

....You know what nevermind.

Genta: YAY FOOD 8D!
Wow that's so awesome! What episode is it? o_O

Okay, on to the DB. Mitsuhiko is actually pretty knowledgeable about some things. Oh, and yes, Ayumi is cute. And though Genta eats a lot he has a lot of... knowledge about food. He probably knows a lot of places where you can eat certain dishes at.

I do not care much for Ayumi or Genta but Mitsuhiko is a darling. He is arguably as intelligent as Conan himself since he really is a little boy and often gets close to solving the case and he very knowledgeable, too. And while Genta and Ayumi are basically static, Mitsuhiko has that deliciously innocent inner conflict between his crush on Ayumi and his new feelings for Haibara. He seems to waver between the two and the conflict is very welcome in a series where most couples are defined as such by divine decree that people are hardly ever torn between two potential lovers (at least the recurring cast. Shiratori came very close to this but then again he did mistake the girl of his fate for Satou, it does not negate the fact that there is something 'meant' for you out there).
