May be it is just me, but I find it hard to decide since I can not separate Conan from Shinichi in my mind , especially from the emotional side. I only like Conan when he acts like Shinichi rather than a cute child.

I like him in funny, embarrassing and sad situations with Ran and with the characters who know his real ID like Heiji and Ai, for example.

Really? I often catch myself thinking that Shinichi and Conan are different people even though I know better. Honestly, have you ever tried to imagine Conan as Shinichi when he's playing "little kid"? It's hilarious!

On the subject of Conan: Once he gets his normal body back, he'll be great for Shiho when the show ends and he inevitably chooses her over Ran (considering he and Ran were never a good match to begin with).

Conan is a great detective. But he also has similarities with Kogoro, who's a "bad detective" Which is funny.

How so?

Well, for once they would go for the truth, even if their own friend would be a killer. Shinichi said that he'd still reveal that one of his friends is a murderer. Even if it would have been agasa for example.
Kogoro revealed that one of his friends is a murderer too. And he didn't get weak when a friend asked to pretend to not know the murderer once too.

They both do the same expressions in slapstick moments You can see that better in the anime, but it also happens in the manga.

They both get more serious when their woman/friends are in danger.

Both are perverted :x (when it comes to "grown-up" women ;p) Conan is just less obvious

I don't know seems like a comon attribute in men in the law enforcement area in this manga.

omigosh, I absolutely love imagining 17 year old Shinichi doing the childish things he does as Conan. One of my favorite ones to picture is his "I want to go to!" fit in movie 8. BAHAHA, oh man, it makes me wriggle with glee XD
