A good example of this is Ending 6 for Rurouni Kenshin. The song for it was 1/3 no junjou na kanjou by Siam Shade, which, at the time, really boosted the band's exposure and popularity. Like kyyketsuki says, it wasn't just the anime ending that had a hand in it. They were on the radio and tv as well. For sure, though, the anime affiliation did help.kyuuketsuki wrote: Does anime help? Of course, any popular medium playing music will add to popularity.
Agreed. And, unless things have changed since I was there last, I'm NOT jealous of their radio. It always seemed like they never played an entire song. Instead, the radio hosts always talked overtop of the songs. Maybe that was just a morning radio thing, but it was very annoying.kyuuketsuki wrote: PS: I am INSANELY JEALOUS OF JAPAN'S MTV... SINCE THEY ACTUALLY PLAY MUSIC! I always wonder... why we have like 3 stations called "music television" that don't play any music what so ever, but instead bad reality TV.
