Even though Ginrei is probably joking, why shouldn't hey play favorites? They are the ones who sub the episodes after all. They can sub whatever episode they want.
However they ask from time to time what episode we want them to sub next.
And why are you complaining? You don't like to wait? Then sub them yourself. You can't? Well then, you have to wait. even 5 minutes every 5 months is 5 minutes every 5 months too much because they don't have to sub them at all. They are nice people though, and they sub the episodes in their free time. let me repeat. in their free time.
If it takes them some time then guess what. They either have better things to do or other things that comes first before subbing an anime or maybe they just don't feel like it.
If you want to see Haibara so much in the other cases, then read the missing cases in the manga.

You should be greatful that there are people who care to sub & translate this into English. Imagine that they wouldn't do this. What then? You could probably see some silly translations, with silly subtitle formats and stupid typos.
But, I understand how you feel. I like Haibara too.
Why don't you just go to the Episode request topic and ask them kindly that please translate that one next or something?

And yes, GinRei was joking, but check this out, Lunchbox. There are an equal amount of non-Detective Boys episodes that are unsubbed. Ones that randomly focus on Conan, Kogorou, and Ran getting tricked into pyramid schemes. They'll all be done eventually.

Anyway, DCTP not subbing the filler DB/Haibara episodes is no different from skipping any other kind of filler. Detective Boy cases aren't really fan favorites, but assuming the staff happens to hate a character is quite a stretch. Besides, groups have left holes before because of the massive amount of filler and more focus on plot elements; it's nothing new.

As amateurs translating foreign-language comics and cartoons for the love of it, they don't owe you that much.
I wouldn't like it, but they'd be within their rights to say they're never going to bother with those episodes.

it's not because they make it public they suddenly have to do everything of the series everyone else wants to see done. They chose to translate it for their own convenience, and because they were so nice they decided to give others the opportunity to enjoy it with them, for FREE. Be happy you could see the episodes they did translate, for FREE.
If you don't like it, wait until the licensed version (Case Closed in other words) translates the episodes you want to see (and pay for it). An other option is watching them in raw format and search the internet for translations (and put in a lot of effort). Or learn Japanese and translate the episodes yourself.
Anyway, they can't be bothered by such complaints. The only ones you'll bother with it are the ones reading this thread for wasting their time (which can be wasted on other, more entertaining things). So stop bitching.

I know with my group (kaw) we will be skipping the filler episodes of kindaichi (after episode 50) in order to get to the episodes that the mangaka did sooner and to help ensure that we get to all the manga based episodes. we will do the filler episodes after that.
