(Part of me is still concerned that they've bumped it down to 12 or 13 episodes and that Midnight Crow will follow the Ryoma ep, ending the series on a THOROUGHLY ANNOYING cliffhanger, but this is probably needless worry.)

Do we actually have confirmation that they are doing a Conan version of the Ryoma case from Kaitou's point of view? They could easily just substitute in Hakuba for Conan and then Aoko and Keiko for Ran and Sonoko and still get most of the same content. Maybe stuff like this is why they introduced Hakuba so early in the series?

Although... I'd just prefer the Conan version to just get reanimated if they do anything...

Gosho has said that they'll be remakes from Kaito's point of view, yep!

It's more likely that they introduced Hakuba (and the others) so early just so they'd have all of the key players established pretty much right from the start. It'll give them more characters to work with should they choose to do anime only stuff.

I'd like a remake of the second half of 219 so I can see if A-1 can make it any worse than the original (for anyone who doesn't know, I hate that one solely for its animation)

Yeah, I'd forgotten which was said to be next, but when I was looking at the preview, I was like: '...Think I would've remembered if one of the new episodes was going to be from an chapter that hadn't been done... but this looks like Ghost Game...'
