Re: Best/Favorite Movie
That is not only in Englisch but also with german sentences as well (for example in Evangelion, Bleach or other animes). That is because the speakers are still japanese people who simply can't do the right pronounciation for European or american ears (and other englisch native speakers as well). You just have to get used with it, I think. For my part it is understandable, because I am no native speaker in English, so my English will sound somewhat simmiliar in some parts.DeathStarrX wrote: I However, this gives me a question. Can anyone answer to my why Detective Conan's English speaking parts.. sound like total trash? I can't actually understand what they're saying half the time even though it's in English. I wouldn't believe for a second that some of those people were actually from America. I've never actually seen another anime with English speaking in it, so I don't have any other things to compare it with.

Haha I was just going to mention that. But you know what's eveb funnier, is that Jodie's Japanese sounds retarded too. So what is she, hmm?DeathStarrX wrote: A minor example.. A secret makes a woman, woman. They like.. don't pronounce the w at all.. it's like ooooman.
Um movie 6 and 3. I really like the movies with historical references. 11 would have been good if the plot wasn't so bad. Still, I liked it a bit because of the pirate references. I will probably like 12 even if the plot/writing sucks.
I want to go to there.

Re: Best/Favorite Movie
The English in most animes are horrible, esp. movie 6... "Boss! there's something strange..."
But even in the few episodes where they have real English speakers, like the Ray Curtis 3K episode, even they sound bad, like it's WAY TOO American. it doesnt even sound natural, thats what i hated about the Case Closed series.
I'm one of the few people who loved movie 10, not only cuz it had everyone in it, but i thought it was really exciting throughout, trying to track down the bad guy. then again i watched it raw, so maybe i didnt understand everything.
Was Kaito Kid in Movie 10? he's the only one i couldnt find there...

#9! is the best for me.... I love its new style of murder case, impressive ending and great ending theme song. #5 and #6 are also my favorites

Kaitou Kid was in Movie 10 for quite a while. Remember, he kept trying to break into that one guy's building, only to keep getting shot at? Then when he finally did, he gassed the entire room until the cops got there and arrested the guy. Of course, he also saved everyone at the end from the bomb.
They kept trying to kill him mostly because they thought he saw a murder they committed or something.

Well, his inclusion in the story seemed forced and poorly done so it's not too hard too overlook him.Hmm. I could have sworn that it was for just a bit. Huh, I have to rewatch it.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the only american in any anime I've seen that was good was Heiji. If I'm not mistaken, his VA is fluent in english.

Good? I found listening to Heiji in English painful, nearly as bad as the other actos trying to speak English.Yeah, I'm pretty sure the only american in any anime I've seen that was good was Heiji. If I'm not mistaken, his VA is fluent in english.

Re: Best/Favorite Movie
The only word he says that doesn't sound like a normal american would've said it is "funnily", in my opinion.
