ok, so i've read the first posts in this thread and it seems like coais are trolling with us. it sucks that they wouldnt respect our ship as much as i respect them.

Even though I used to ship shinichi and ran ,I've stopped after he confessed to her in Londen, I don't know why , maybe -to me-the only reason I still found their relationship fun was because I liked waiting for the time shinichi told her how he felt but now I'm waiting for nothing ,he knows she likes him even though she is not telling (which made me annoyed ,why would she make him confess and then make him wait for her reply 
). I think their relationship belongs in the past not the future ,they just don't fit ,sometimes love isn't enough.

As for the in-universe reason, Ran's reason for being unwilling to reply is because she thinks if she does, the "happy feeling... [that's] like a dream" she's been feeling since the confession will end and she'll "crash back to reality" (File 784, Page 8/Episode 654).
Why does she feel like she'll "crash back to reality" if she replies to his confession? Because, since her last suspicion story (File 479–File 483/Episode 398–Episode 400), especially throughout the Bourbon arc, there were hints that Ran had, at the very least, become unconsciously suspicious that Conan was really Shinichi (check this out if you want a bunch of proof: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set ... 063&type=3).

The only reason Ran didn't respond is because she knows Shinichi's 'case' isn't over yet, and didn't want to have a half-hearted and rushed discussion about how they feel about each other.
She also probably already knows about Shinichi being Conan, and so she knows that it is something out of Shinichi's control.
And that he is not Conan out of his choice, and she probably thinks that Conan is able to become Shinichi occasionally and telling him now would only make things harder for Conan, because he'd feel 100 times more frustrated being unable to act his feelings because of his age.

Ran and Shinichi the best couple of all times. I love them so much that I don't stand those conanXai fans lol. It's so incredible how shinichi loves her and how she loves him back. their love is shown in their eyes while looking at each other.
I think the reason for Ran not confessing back yet is so Gosho can come up with a better way of confessing back, maybe he would drag it for god knows how many chapters, but he will come up with a great plan maybe in some kind of a big and special case. Ran didn't mention why so we don't know her reason yet.
