As I stated in my rewatch post, I watched the remastered version. Like I said, it's been years since I've watched the original version.A 10 of course. It’s a shame that the remastered version that I used for the rewatch cut out so much of the original episodes to fit into a one hour time frame. If you have a chance try to check out the original episodes.

I happened to watch the remastered version the other day and I distinctly remember seeing that scene in it. It's even featured in the remastered ending credits. I hope that clears up any confusion. ;)Pmofmalasia wrote:How did I miss that? I feel like Kogoro... :'(skyechan wrote:Quote from rewatch post:Pmofmalasia wrote:Lies!skyechan wrote: it's been years.

Edit: By the counter on my video player, this scene occurs from 21:30 to 21:45. Other players should be pretty similar.

1) Akai Shuichi death at Raiha pass . Isn't easier to believe that he is died due to the close shot in the head , when you look very carefully in manga 609 you see the smoke comes out of pistol's muzzle after Rena shot akai in the head .
2) Then how possibly akai appears in person in manga 824 . Where I think it is misleading when Scarred Akai first appeared in episode 563 Hm... I don't recall manga file . Which tell us that Scarred Akai is in fact is the real akai where it was not.
3) If Akai is really survived or in other words he faked his death with help of Rena , of course . How unexpectedly not shocked that the Organization found out that the real akai is really still alive I think by nature anyone will react that Kir really helped akai in faking his death and the subdued trick ( set ) will be surfaced I mean when Gin say to Kir that it might employ a sort of trick to fake akai death .
4) Don't thing it was too much to be managed that way it is out of human senses to fake his death and it guarantees that the Organization will double check to look if the real akai is really still alive .
5) Bourbon with Vermouth help got the boss' approval for this trick to see if the real akai is really dead and they didn't tell any other organization members , in order for Kir to not inform anyone which this plan will be maximized . Out of the line.
6) If Okiya is Akai how Okiya possibly change his voice whereas the disguise will require no more than glasses and dyed hair or something .
Sorry too many questions and my English wasn't very good anyway.

This is my type of question!
You can see one version of the Akai's faked theory here, although if English is your second language, it might be hard to get through. (Apologies if clicking that link makes your browser give you a warning. The Detective Conan wiki where those pictures are from had a malware warning a week ago. It has been safe for a week according to google, so it should be fine to proceed.)
Others think he practiced changing his voice...
About 95% of the fandom thinks Akai faked his death. The most common theory is that Rena used blank bullets instead of real ones. When blank bullets are fired, they make smoke and a loud bang and an empty cartridge drops out of the gun like normal bullets, but the only thing that comes out of the muzzle is hot gas. Blank bullets are often used for movies or gun shows. The evidence that Akai faked his death is that his head moved and the blood on his face disappeared when Rena walked over to the hood of the truck to start the bomb. Most people think Akai switched himself for the body of Kusuda Rikumichi, which was blown up. Rikumichi had fingerprints on Conan's phone too.NiderMine wrote: 1) Akai Shuichi death at Raiha pass . Akai disguised himself and came up with the secret identity of Okiya Subaru. (That is the most common theory)NiderMine wrote:Spoiler: manga 824 Train case

Kir is probably in the same intelligence gathering division as Vermouth and Bourbon, so it would be easier for her to secretly find out.NiderMine wrote: 5) Bourbon with Vermouth help got the boss' approval for this trick to see if the real akai is really dead and they didn't tell any other organization members , in order for Kir to not inform anyone which this plan will be maximized . 1) How the hole been made in akai's hat when he is shot in the head by Kir because in the anime . There is no apparent any tape or something covering the area that shot , and I don't it possible that he wears two hats because by someway or other blood packets fall and the trick then will be exposed.
2) If the trick really worked out as planned and really Kir used blank cartridges and akai with his vest of blood packets in his chest , head , and in his mouth . It the police didn't show up or late for a bit . Does Akai take this into consideration.
3) But however if this plan goes contrary to akai and Rena expectations then Kir might really kill akai OOOOOR escape with akai instead of going to ORG that will kill her so then it need to make a disguise to protect her self and this answer might be a alternative solution to the problem 2) if it is really occurs . NO PROBLEM.

The anime messes up everything important. Only the manga is good for clues.NiderMine wrote: 1) How the hole been made in akai's hat when he is shot in the head by Kir because in the anime . The person helping Akai can control when the police arrive by waiting for the right moment to place the emergency call. The police came right when they were supposed to: just soon enough to force Gin to rush and prevent him from closely examining Akai's "death".NiderMine wrote: 2) If the trick really worked out as planned and really Kir used blank cartridges and akai with his vest of blood packets in his chest , head , and in his mouth . - Then this fakiness wasn't convincing enough to be seen in reality . Was it?

No, it means that Gosho didn't tell the TV crew what to include or not. Te anime isn't drawn by Gosho.NiderMine wrote: 1)

You misunderstood. Aoyama Gosho, the author of Detective Conan, draws the manga. Other people draw the anime. These animators make mistakes when they draw the anime. They often get important clues wrong, or they forget them. Sometimes it is because of censorship. Other times it is because they do not notice clues. The animators incorrectly drew Akai's death. They only showed Akai's whole face once because of censorship, and they forgot to remove the blood on his face later.NiderMine wrote: 1)

Thank you so much for your help , therefore I knew that my nemesis is really dead but if I feel that he still alive then I could kill him all over again , isn't it? .Chekhov MacGuffin wrote:You misunderstood. The blood packet detonator made a small hole in the front of his hat that the blood came from. The scan makes the hole hard to see, but it is clear that no wires or anything that looks fake are sticking out of it. Akai turned his head to the side when he fell so the inside of the hole cannot be seen on camera. If Gin didn't notice that Akai's head suddenly turned upright and the blood on his face disappeared later, then Gin was probably not looking at Akai's head closely to begin with.Spoiler: not a spoiler - Akai's death

I think you don't understand what I meant right there ,about this one
5) Bourbon with Vermouth help got the boss' approval for this trick to see if the real akai is really dead and they didn't tell any other organization members , in order for Kir to not inform anyone which this plan will be maximized . Out of the line.
I mean here when Gin face Kir in episode 580 . Then talk ( about seeing someone who looks like akai resurfaced unexpectedly) with all Gin's strong face and talk , it will usually force kir to confess that it really that helped akai in faking his death . Then it this otherwise it tells the truth (that really killed akai as it seems in its pure shape) which apparently does , or tell lie to him (which it will be exposed someway to be an absolute liar , then gin will take her out immediately).
On the other hand , I understand from your explanation :
(Kir is probably in the same intelligence gathering division as Vermouth and Bourbon, so it would be easier for her to secretly find out. ) you mean the information about akai's verification death approved from boss was slipped someway or Kir found it out , that what I understood.
I thank so so much for your full coverage of virtually everything in detective conan , I think you are Gosho Aoyama in disguise .
