If you watch all the AO, it will become way repetitive because they are just the poor version of Gosho's work, some AOs are outstanding though. About locked room murder cases, they are still the most common theme in detective fictions. Kindaichi is even much much more focused on lock-room murders. At least in DC, we have kidnapping cases, code-cracking cases, robbery cases, bomb cases, some "slice-of-life" cases and BO cases.[/quote]
This may seem like a stupid question but does the AO have nothing to do with the main storyline? And will there be no interesting stuff, such as black organisation activity in any AO?
What are DC's 'big' cases in your opinion ?

Simple answer: No. Anime original eps don't have anything to do with the storyline or the black organization (though ep 813 is an AO and served as a pre-story for movie 20. The BO was mentioned in it and served as an element but it didn't actually have the BO in it).

Like Kor said... Anime Originals, as their name indicate, are episodes totally unrelated to the plot and Aoyama has no control over them.
They and the remasters help space out time for the manga to build up files to turn into anime episodes: other animes have had anime original arcs because they were almost caught up with the manga.
But we're getting off topic here.
My "big cases" are these:
. The Moonlight Sonata (Episode 11)
. The Symphony Serial Murders (Ep 174)
. A cursed mask coldly laughs (Ep 184)
. The Desperate Revival (188-193)
. Gathering of detectives (Ep 219)
. Oosaka double mystery (Ep 263)
. NY case (286-288)
. 4 billion hostages (Episode 304)
. Contact with the BO (Episode (Episode 309-311)
. Head-to-Head Match with the Black Organization (Ep 345)
There are others but these are my main "big cases"

I take it there's a reason there are none past Episode 345.Spimer wrote:The Moonlight Sonata (Episode 11)

“Life is infinitely stranger than anything which the mind of man could invent. We would not dare to conceive the things which are really mere commonplaces of existence. If we could fly out of that window hand in hand, hover over this great city, gently remove the roofs, and and peep in at the queer things which are going on, the strange coincidences, the plannings, the cross-purposes, the wonderful chains of events, working through generations, and leading to the most outre results, it would make all fiction with its conventionalities and foreseen conclusions most stale and unprofitable.”
