Detective Doyle

So apparently Gosho was told by his editor in chief back in the day to change the name Conan into Doyle because it was too close to Future boy Conan.

Thoughts on this? I can't be the only one who thinks 'Detective Doyle' actually has a better ring to it than 'Detective Conan'

I don't like the way 'Doyle' sounds in Japanese which would be something like 'Doi-ru' so no. 'Ko-na-n' actually sounds somewhat close to 'Conan'.

No... there's no way Doyle would sound better than Conan especially in Japanese...
