Detective Conan Cafe
I looked on the site of the upcoming Detective Conan movie, when I saw news of a "Conan Cafe" in the news blog. I checked it out and there is a page in Engrish about it. http://conancafe.jp/en/

Re: Detective Conan Cafe
So much hype for the 19th movie.
Also, I am very interested on what would Shinichi's favorite lemon pie taste like.

Re: Detective Conan Cafe
I went to this! (Twice actually) The food was great, having nothing but Conan OP/ED songs playing was awesome, and I loved the details they put into it such as having "Mouri Detective Agency" written on the windows overlooking the street (mirrored from the inside, so you feel like you're in the agency's office.
However, the wait to visit this place was crazy. The first time I went (in early April), I got my numbered ticket at 2:30 PM, with a scheduled entry time for 5 PM, and gathering time 15 minutes prior at 4:45 PM.
In reality, however, you get there at 4:45, and then wait in line for another 1 1/2 hours, and don't get in until 6:30 PM. So by this time, I waited 4 hours just to get in the door.
The last day of the cafe was even more of a nightmare. The store opened at 10 AM, and so I got there at 8:30 AM, thinking I would be one of the first to get my ticket for the day. But there was already a line literally went down the street, turned a corner, went down that street, turned another corner, and went about 10 km (6 miles) down that street. By the time I made it up to the front of the line, I got one of the last 10 tickets of the day, entry scheduled for 8:30 PM. Once again, it took longer than it should have, and I didn't get in until about 9:30 PM. The cafe was normally scheduled to close at 10 PM, but was extended an extra hour because there were still people who hadn't gotten in yet. So, all in all, I had to wait about 12 hours just to get in to the cafe. (lol)
They had a giant stuffed plush toy of both Conan and Kaitou Kid near the entrance and in the actual cafe which people took pictures of, and there was a nice "Mystery Solving Game" with Japanese word game puzzles to solve while you ate, along with 2.5D figures of characters from Conan wearing special cafe waiter/waitress outfits. You draw one at random from a basket with every entree you order.
The first time I went, I ordered the curry omelette rice from "Danny's" (as seen in episode 651) along with Shinichi's favorite lemon pie and Haibara's mixed berry soda and got a Kazuha figure.
The second time I went, I ordered the spaghetti with Conan-shaped bread from Columbo Restaurant, along with the the Kid vs Conan burgers. I pulled two figures, both of which ended up being Heiji. They don't let you trade, so now I have doubles
Pictures of everything and translations of the Mystery Solving Game later.
