Well, i understand all of this, but here, in Brazil, i could do the same thing as you are talking about... If you are making something on your own (including the cartoon), there's no problem because you are nothing getting money with it, you don't get any profits...

yardbird i love your designs.  they're fun yet simple.  i was thinking i wanted to see a magnifying glass in a design. 

oh and dcfan01 i like your front.  i liked the edited panels.  i think it could work with any of the characters with the talking bubble.  the non-symmetry of the panel edges bothers me a little though. 

i want to see alcohol in a design.  gin, vodka, sherry, vermouth, etc.  it's just begging to be used.

The level of interest doesn't seem very high for this, which is relatively understandable since money is involved and the way the economy is right now.  However, will take another look at it at the end of March when things have calmed down a bit in regards to busy schedules and such.
