Another (stupid?) question

Post by kkslider5552000 »

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Case_Closed_episodes

so episodes 521 and 522...

...assuming they are manga episodes, there's no way that the episodes will live up to the hype of the title, right? (question for anyone who has read it in the manga...again assuming it IS in the manga)

also, as soon as this is answered can it be locked, please?

Episode 521 is a manga case which at first showed a lot of promise but really couldn't finish. Many of the people of this board figured out the big "question" half way through so it took a lot of excitement out of it. If 522 is the case following 521 in the manga...then that title really doesn't make sense unless its an anime original.

Another possibility is that they combined both cases (Murderer, Kudou Shin'ichi) and the one directly following it, and the split them again down the middle into two 1 hour specials. That's one way the title of 522 would make sense.

oh hey look I can lock my own topic! :D

btw: what I meant by this is that...I know nothing of the case is it a spoiler? Probably not oh well just to be safe :D
Spoiler:
the titles of those two episodes made me think for just a second that Ran's opinion of Shinichi would change dramatically. Also, it made me think that it was either a "this happened in the past yay!" episode (and a random thought, I hate when they decide that two characters met for the first time in the past hundreds of episodes after they first met (see: 490)) or Conan took the prototype antidote...again

Yeah I'm having trouble understanding what you're actually looking for?

You asked if episode 521 lives to the hype of its title and I answered that by telling you what most thought of it while discussion in the Story Discussion board. Do you want someone tell spoil it for you and tell you what it's about?(Which I avoided doing with my first answer)

by the way..this topic is still unlocked ;D

Someone must've unlocked it then (no, it wasn't me and I'm not being coy).  As for telling you about the hype vs the titles and such, the second one's title is probably going a little overboard compared to what actually happens.  I don't think it will cover the entirety of "The Return", since 516-517 was 6 files and needed essentially 3 episodes.  "The Return" was 9 files, so I don't see it fitting in 4 episodes without massive pruning.

Any further inquiring will likely spoil it for you, so I'll just say this... Heiji cases ftw!

With the risk of being cut off from future DCTP releases, I'm going to state right here that Heiji is one of the most interesting recurring characters DC offers. Sometimes Shinichi's method of solving cases gets a bit and that's when Heiji comes in. Unlike Conan, he can produce his own comic relief..which gives him the edge right there, so.. *raises Heiji for the Win Flag*
