- All moves are allowed.
- All items are allowed.
- All the Pokémon selected must have different index pokedex number. In other words, you can't have the same Pokémon twice or more, even if it is just a different form of it.
- All the Pokémon selected must have different items. In other words, the 6 held items in your party must be all different. Similar held items, for example Magnet and Zap Plate, are allowed. This rule only applies to the starting team, if any Pokémon receives an item that's already held by another Pokémon in their party, it is allowed, for example if Trick, Thief, Recycle, Pickpocket, etc come into effect in the battle.
- All the remaining Abilities are allowed.
How to decide a winner:
In case the battle can't be finished, due to connectivity issues or one of the players having to leave, the remaining player has the power to decide, depending on the context of the battle:
- If the leaving person has more alive Pokémon than the opponent or they have the same amount of Pokémon alive, then they should start the battle over. If a winner needs to be decided over the unfinished battle, the other participants will be jury to decide who should be selected as winner.
- If the leaving person has less alive Pokémon than the opponent, then the opponent can declare themselves the winner of the battle or offer the leaving person to start the battle over.
- If the battle is unfinished with both players having all their Pokémon alive, it is mandatory to start over.
If a player's final Pokémon used Selfdestruct, Explosion, Destiny Bond, or FinalGambit, and both players' final Pokémon faint as a result, the player who used the move loses that game.
- If a player's final Pokémon used Double Edge, Volt Tackle, Flare Blitz, Take Down, Submission, Brave Bird, Wood Hammer, Head Smash, Struggle, or Wild Charge,or was holding Life Orb, and both players' final Pokémon faint as a result, the player who used the move wins that game.
- If both players' final Pokémon faint due to damage from a weather condition, such as Hail or Sandstorm, the player whose Pokémon faints last wins the game.
- If a Pokémon's Ability (such as Rough Skin, Aftermath, Liquid Ooze, or Iron Barbs) or held item (such as Rocky Helmet), results in each player's final Pokémon fainting, the player whose Pokémon had the Ability or held item wins the game.
