BRAIN-FRYING RIDDLES' Official Thread

Post by eworm »

Hey, people, eworm here.
Some of you may recognize me as one of The Kogorou's Riddle Thread And eworm's Deduction Thread's Thread-Brains. If you do, you probably know what this thread's about. If you don't, I'll be delighted to enlighten you.

You see, I fry people's brains. To achieve that, I make use of self-created mysteries I call Brain-Frying Riddles. Seemed appropriate.
(Thanks to Edogawa4869 for the idea for the name by the way)
Don't expect BFRs to be your standard "riddles" though. They're full-fledged criminal cases with high difficulty levels.

They are all located in the aforementioned Riddleduction thread but I created this one here... Mainly because even with shortening the links I started to have difficulties fitting all the links in my signature. So yeah. Now they're all here.

I encourage you to take a look at the Brain-Frying Riddles and try to solve them yourself.
Here are some rules:
1. As most of the BFRs have already been either solved or had the solution revealed, the best way to roll is to choose the currently active BFR. If there are no such ones, you're free to try solving the first one either officially (by sending me a max of three deductions by PMs) or on your own. You're free to do that anytime you want - I try to visit the forums often and reply ASAP.

2. BFRs #1, #2, #3 and #4 are all connected and as such, they need to be solved in the right order. Also, there are some heavy spoilers for the previous ones in the latter ones, so peeking at a BFR while solving one of the previous ones is forbidden. You can, however, read them all without trying to solve them - just to enjoy the complicated mystery stories forming a much bigger story.

3. Each of the BFRs had some solving-rules changes. After the BFR has been closed, they no longer apply though. Instead, we have: no time limit, max of three deductions per BFR and obviously no peeking at the answer or later BFRs when solving.

4. Everybody has a right to ask for a special hint on the following days of the year:
- June 1st (my birthday)
- December 24th - 26th (Christmas, duh)

5. You're free to state your opinions about BFRs in this thread. Remember not to post any spoilers for any of the BFRs though!
