That sounds better than voting randomly. For the first day anyway.

You're aware that will make you a target, yes?Kleene Onigiri wrote:I'll vote random :V
(At least if you happen to hit a townie)
Not voting means a single vote will tip the scale. Any BO could just cast a vote and kill whomever they want. Now, the best thing would be if we could get exactly two random townies to vote by my scheme and everyone else to abstain (that would make it next-to-impossible for the BO to kill someone with a "random" vote), but that seems impossible to pull off, especially that close to the deadline.bluekaitou1412 wrote:It's still around 12 hours to phase change, everybody must still be gathering intel. >_< Although if nobody really steps forward we could either abstain or follow your suggestion. There's an obvious risk to the latter though, some people (like me lol) barely have enough time to check the main thread so if they didn't catch any of the townie voting schemes they might end up voting randomly and consequently, lynch an innocent person. Well, your plan isn't getting enough traction. It won't make sense if not everyone will follow. :/

Actually, it still does. It's very simple - anyone who doesn't follow and causes a death is assumed BO (unless the killed is BO, of course), and, will be lynched tomorrow.bluekaitou1412 wrote:Well, your plan isn't getting enough traction. It won't make sense if not everyone will follow. :/
So, any townie who doesn't follow the plan is, effectively, pulling an Xcommando

Well, the part where we have to assume someone is BO if they don't follow your voting scheme. XD
EDIT: So I just checked the list and found out you're the one below me. -_-

Effectively, the idea behind the scheme is to make it impossible for the BO to cause the death of a townie without effectively "outing" themselves. The town has no information on whom to kill, and the majority has decided not to kill anyone. In theory, nobody voting would work, but history has shown that usually doesn't work, since at least one person will vote. So, instead, we all vote according to a plan. Anyone who deviates from the plan must want to cause the death of whomever they vote for, as they can assume that that person will end up dead.bluekaitou1412 wrote:Well, the part where we have to assume someone is BO if they don't follow your voting scheme. Now, if the dead person is a BO, everything is fine; they probably had a reason to vote for them. Great. If they aren't, we can tell who did not vote according to plan, and since that person clearly wanted a townie to die, they must be BO.
Three things should be noted
- Not voting at all works, too. Assuming only the people who expressed support for the plan follow it, and everyone else abstains, there'll already be a multi-way tie.
- Voting randomly has a very good chance to kill whomever you vote for, which will get you killed tomorrow. If you're townie, that's just stupid.
- What would be even better would be if every townie, say, flipped a coin and voted for the one below them only when it shows head. That would still ensure a tie (assuming 11 townies, the chance for less than two voters is 0.6%), and still expose stray voters, but would make it less likely for the BO to kill someone with a stray vote (a random vote would then have a 50% to hit someone without a vote). However, this requires the support from all the town, which will be difficult to gather within just a few hours. Hence, don't do that.

Alright, the plan it is~! I'm just having problems because I'd hate to be part of something that might go horribly wrong. Chalk it up to paranoia. :V

Callid, you understand that you seem highly suspicious as you want to lynch someone without information.

I want to prevent anyone being lynched, precisely because we have no information. Not quite sure why you think that's suspicious.
(Unless you are referring to my post long ago on Sachi, in which case I, as I clarified long ago, was joking)

"Well, that's... unfortunate," you leader says, making it sound as though Captain Jack's kidnapping was nothing more than an annoyance. (And, with the way she's been muttering since the beginning, you think she probably feels exactly like that.)
"But, you know, these things happen. I guess Akonyl wanted to trick us instead of treat us. Poor Captain Jack, but I'm sure he'll survive. What's the worst that could happen? Time to move on!"
She leads the way to the next house, a somewhat smaller place, with a plaque that reads Dus. There's no doorbell, so she knocks, and you (and the group) wait.
After a moment of nothing, she says, "Well, I guess he's too drunk to answer the door. Time to move on!"
