Yeah it's a tricky one :) You don't know if there are two culprits or not :P

Well I analized this thread and I think it's boring to be the only one giving out Riddles.
After this post the first person with the right answer has to give a new Riddle.
To make it more interesting:
The new Riddle should be posted at least 48h after the correct answer is aproved.
That means: The person giving out the Riddle has to inform the person about his/her right answer.
Wrong answers can be ignored.
Futher more the you of "spoiler-tag" is needed! Don't steal the fun for other people :)
Invite friends or family to join :)
And have fun.

The new Riddle:
There was a robberey in a warehouse! Detective Donner is heading to the crime scene and looks at a total mess. The windows are smaahes the doors are open...
The first thing he hears is that the culprit must have been a man, or at least had been wearing male clothes.  Also he finds out that if the culprit was male he had to be midget and if he was a midget he was entering thru a window. Futhermore if the culprit was wearing male clothes, given the fact that the eyewittnes said the truth, the culprit entered thru the window.
Later after a few drinks at ta nearby he talks to one of his subordinates who states " but the forensics proof that the culprit wasn't entering thru a window.", after he heard all the facts from Donner. Donner suddleny jumpes up and yelles "he was wrong, the eyewittness was wrong".
How did Detective Donner came up with that?
Can you proof that Donner is right and the Eyewittness hasn't told the truth?

Ok, I need just a bit of clarification: what things are fact and what things were stated by the eyewitness?

Ok, I need just a bit of clarification: what things are fact and what things were stated by the eyewitness?
looks like the first paragraph was fact, second was the eyewitness and the third was the forensics.

So I'd guess:
Spoiler:
Facts: Windows smashed, doors open (both irrelevant)
Heard:
Suspect wearing male clothes,
if male he was a midget,
if midget he entered through a window.
If wearing male clothes, he entered through a window.
False: Suspect didn't enter through the window

so, given that he didn't enter through a window, the suspect wasn't wearing male clothes (as wearing them implies window entry), which means the eyewitness was lying about their first statement.

Alternately, if the last sentence of the eyewitness's testimony (furthermore if he was wearing male clothes, he entered through the window if everything was correct) is meant as the stringing together of all the other hints ( male means midget, means window entry) that he gave, the eyewitness is wrong because he never makes any connection between the suspect's actual gender and the clothes they were wearing. There's no way to determine that the suspect was actually a man from these hints, making "if male he was a midget" and "if midget he entered through a window" worthless clues, meaning the only things of worth that he said were "the suspect was wearing male clothes" and "if wearing male clothes, he entered through a window".
if that's right then I guess I'll give a new one at some point :P

@Edogawa:
You need to study deduction a lot more :P

OT: That was a question for my exam last week :D I passed with 90% I could kill myself because I wasn't able to answer the Prolog questions (look it up with google)

you have riddles on your CS exams? wat :V

anyway, because you said my answer counted (hopefully this one hasn't been posted, don't feel like checking :V):

---

There are 10 prisoners in a prison, and the warden gathers them together for a super riddle challenge. The warden tells the prisoners that they're going to play a game, of which the rules are:

1) Each prisoner will be kept in a separate, isolated cell with no way to communicate with the other prisoners
2) Every 10 minutes, he'll choose a prisoner at random and bring them to a special room, where there's a light bulb and a light switch.
3) The prisoner can do two things in this room: Turn the light bulb on/off or leave it alone.
4) After this, the prisoner will be returned to their cell and another prisoner will be randomly selected.
5) At any point, the prisoners can claim that all of them have visited the room at least once. If they're correct, they're released, however if even one of them hasn't been chosen to go to the room yet, they're all forced to watch the Koi Wa Thrill Detective Conan OP for the rest of their stay in prison. The volume will never be turned off and it will be projected on all of their walls forever.
6) As long as they don't claim to have finished, the warden will continue choosing random prisoners from the cells indefinitely.

Before starting this game, the warden gives them a few minutes to formulate a plan to get out. What plan could the prisoners make such that they will be freed 100% of the time?

No other messages or anything can be done other than turning the light on and off, so defacing the room and destroying the light bulb isn't allowed. :P

Note: Though in the original riddle, the light bulb may start either on or off, for the sake of it here I'll just say that the light bulb starts the riddle turned off.

Can the warden choose a prisoner a second time right after he selected him.

as the warden will be choosing random prisoners indefinitely, it's possible that he will select a prisoner more than once. It is also possible that he randomly chooses the same guy 10 times in a row.

fair enough, never had to use prolog myself so I wasn't sure if it classified more as something you'd be taught in a random side-CS class or an actual logic class :P
