I mean, I can't look a month+ into the future and know that I'll be able to do it, maybe something weird will happen. But if I don't, I don't think people are just gonna stop signin up so I can wait till the day before to sign up.

Well, I never said it wouldn't get done, even if I said no. I usually say no, and attempt to do whatever it is anyway, and then if it happens/gets done, yay, and if not, well, they weren't expecting it anyway.
