I'm kind of glad that prep phase is tomorrow and not a round. I have to celebrate my birthday, and it might take long.

Still busy from billion projects given to me. Possibility of not turning in actions because phase changes while I'm still in school. :\

As of this post, there's about 13 hours to go. Subscription will remain open until the game starts.

I have modified the rules slightly. While Informants still learn the Spy's identity as soon as the game starts, Civilians receive their lists after Prep Phase when Day 1 begins. That should still give everyone enough time to consider their options before their first vote is due.

— There are two Informants in the game.
— The number of names on every list Civilians will receive at the end of this phase is seven.

Go ahead and strategize... I'll be listening. As for me, here's my suggestion...

fake investigate A very awesome suggestion, by none other than spy Togop from Round 4 xDD, that I am bringing up again in this round. I say suggestion but I do not have any plans on waiting for everybody's approval xD. Starting Day 2, I'll be posting my own investigate results. You're all free to go or not to go with me but I strongly encourage the Detective to do the same as me. Of course, more people posting their investigates will greatly be appreciated! Mr. Detective! If you do not think this is a very good course of action, well think again! You may choose to post your investigates at a later phase together with all your investigate results from Day 1 but expect me to begin starting Day 2.

Again, this is a suggestion that I DEFINITELY will be doing. Though, consider this as a side strategy and not our main strategy in catching the spy and his minions. So, after reading this, you only just have to decide if you want to join me or not. Don't think of this too much and come up with another plan on how we are going to play this round.

After this is posted, I'm gonna try think of another idea... Now, let's get hype!

yes! i'm gonna use detective Stopwatch of Round 4's exact words... "Investigate has been heavily depowered". though the detective is free to post his results, he'll just be committing suicide if he does it alone. that's why i'm taking the initiative to post fake investigates. whether i end up doing it alone or just me and the detective, well, i hope i made some cover for the detective.

so yeah, at the end of each phase, i'll be posting a list of three people with one of 'em labeled as not spy.

again, you all are free to do the same or not,.. of course posting will be better for the detective \o/ and i really hope at least the detective will go with this because what's the point if we don't get to see the real investigate

and also, let's set this aside for now since as i said, this should be considered as a side strategy since the plan itself starts when the detective receives his results.

The problem with fake investigates is that if someone posts the name of the spy labelled as 'not spy,' the spy knows that that person isn't the detective.

And, checking the rules, the informants would also know who the spy is, so that would also help them with narrowing down who the detective is.

The thing about espionage is that, now that I think about it, it's weighted somewhat in favor of the spy initially. The detective is pretty much alone and nobody knows who the detective is. The civilians don't know for sure without revealing their lists, which could be a death sentence for the detective and themselves, though it could help reveal the informants. The informants are told who the spy is, so they automatically then have something narrowed down. The spy has the order ability, too, so they can send something one-way to the informants.

In this game, according to an earlier post, there are two informants in the game. There are fifteen players in the game. So that means there's eleven civilians in the game, with how there's also a spy and a detective.

The idea of fake investigate was that everyone posts results from investiagte. The detective posts real results, while everyone else makes something up. Since the detective is in everyone's list, civillians have strong leads to decide which investigate results to believe and which not to believe. The spy/informants - wouldn't.

This round, however, the informants are also on everyone's lists. Thus civillians would have just as good a reason to believe the informants' fake investigate results as to believe the detective's investigate results. As such, I need to think a bit before I can say if such a strategy would be useful this round.

Okay, it's 6:21am and I just woke up. I'm informing that I got the mail and I'm excited! The game is on people! (oh, yes, I'm not just a whovian, folks.)

about the fake investigation. When reading the previous round, I thought it was a sound idea. Pity it wasn't takn to use. (gah, I hate writing with my phone!) we shoul,use it even if it might help the spy side too. Everyone participating to it should just be veeeery careful because like stated above it might doom the real detective. But it also helps the civilians to get information.

I'm practically just repeating everything stated above, am I? Oh, well...
