This round's question forces you to make a tough decision.  You are stranded on a tiny (roughly 1.2 km² in area), uninhabited desert island, thousands of miles from the nearest inhabited place, with BOTH Kazuha and Ran.  Food and drinkable water are scarce.  No one knows where you are, and there is no way to communicate your situation to the world.  Fortunately, an empty lifeboat drifts by one day... but it can only carry one person.  In the wreckage, you have broken your arm and leg - it was only through the noble efforts of Kazuha and Ran that you were able to survive and reach the island - so you cannot go to call for help.  Send either Kazuha or Ran for help, knowing that if their efforts fail, you will all face certain death.  Similarly, whoever stays behind must be relied upon to help gather enough food and water for the two of you to survive until rescue (if it comes). 

As before, premise for each question requires you to mentally rip each character out of the manga/anime and place them beside you in real life.  So there is no Shinichi/Heiji/Conan, etc. to get in the way or affect the characters in any way.

I voted to send Kazuha. I'm sure they're both quite capable of getting help, but I'd like to have Ran around because she's definately a good cook, and also does not have a tendancy to fall off of cliffs.

But she has a tendacy to faint in very important situations.

Voted Ran, I prefer relying on her for the help, and if I´m not mistaken Kazuha wouldn´t be bothered for being alone, as when she gets scared of any supernatural things is becuse of Ran.

Kazuha. I wouldn't trust Ran to navigate. Even if the lifeboat can't really be controlled and will drift with the current, I wouldn't trust Ran to guide people back to the island. I'd hope the island is small enough for Ran to at least find her way back to camp without losing too much time. Both girls would probably lose supply gathering time to being spooked. Ran's good with bandages, so maybe she'd be better at tending my wounds. Kazuha might be more open to keeping me warm during cold nights, but I doubt Ran would let me die from exposure.

kazuha would do better since she doesn't get as frightened as ran during scary situations also she is good at akido !

I voted Kazusha bususe of what other people said. but I'd rather go myself. but maby that would be bad idea since even though I can draw maps I dont have maps In my head unless I know the place.

Do better at which? You're stuck with both of them in this question. The question is which are you going to vote off the island? Not a straightforward, “Ran sucks,â€

Funny how people forget all the times Kazuha is cowering with Ran, and all the times Ran is level headed and heroic.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Ran start to cry in the "Tottori Spider Mansion" (was it called that way?) after she couldn't find Kazuha?

Yes, she was probably guilt tripping there (and it's probably letting her off easy the way you are putting it, because a careful look seems to show that she gave up looking really quickly). Does that mean we should ignore the times she's rescuing Sonoko or romantic rivals? "Level headed" is debatable, but she did call the cops before putting herself between the gunfire and Haibara in Head-on Fight..., quickly assume a protective stance for Sonoko but not banzai-charge the gunmen in Truth of Valentine's, and she did ask for a better plan than kicking in the front door to rescue the hostage in Paper Airplane. There's no evidence that Kazuha could do better (or worse, really).

I voted Kazuha this time, not because she is better at getting help, but because Ran is better to stay with, she is calmer and more likely to give support, mentally and physically.

I think people are missing the point as to what exactly this situation requires.  This isn't about bravery or melee combat skills.  It's about

• Who can make their way back to civilization, retrieve assistance from the proper authorities, and then make their way back to the island you're located on before you die.
• Who can stay behind, gather food and clean water until the person from point one returns.

I chose to send Kazuha on the boat, because as Sonoko has pointed out before, Ran has no sense of direction.

I agree this isn't as difficult as everyone is making it out to be. Kazuha has an assertive personality which makes her ideal to take charge and guide the boat back to civilization while Ran has a nurturing personality as well as substantial knowledge about cooking. You would want Ran to stay behind and help you survive until help comes back thanks to Kazuha. All you have to worry about is Ran running into the forest and falling off a cliff. .

Wait, actually how are you suppose to pick a winner? Who wins, the person that stays or the person that leaves, aren't they both vital to your survival?
