I used to love Haibara as a character, but honestly as it is she's about as interesting as your average DB. Obviously, I'm hoping that's going to change one day.

I think you're crazy. A smart character and a loli are WAYYYYYY more interesting than a stoic character that doesn't even keep her story a secret from the audience. (I agree Genta is a little... boring.) I think everybody over-exaggerates Haibara' greatness. She's just... a quiet character. SURE she's done some epic things but... seriously? (And the DB are NOT that bad. They're just as interesting as Ran or Conan.)

I think you're crazy. A smart character and a loli are WAYYYYYY more interesting than a stoic character that doesn't even keep her story a secret from the audience. The background of Ai is certainly much more interesting than the background of any of the
DB? But the character of the DB... Also, lately Ai has been more of a 'cameo' appearance rather than a main. It's really too bad. She doesn't do much except for getting that 'impulse'.

I am not. When does Haibara appear ? During the DB cases : she was not there during the Red Shirts, she was excluded from the bank in the FBI case and she was barely there during Clash...What does she do ? Follow the DB and tease Conan a bit. As interesting as her backround may be, it is not sufficient to keep her character interesting for 10 or more years in these conditions, this explains why she has become so stale.

The funny thing about Haibara's character is that her absence from that case was just as significant as if she had been included.

No. -_- She's STILL 18 years old (or higher) and doesn't act in the signature loli way. Loli's tend to be sweet and innocent and have an attraction for an older man. Haibara is NEITHER unless you seriously screw her up in a fanfiction.
