I'm not sure, but considering Shinichi was about 7 or something (in Eri's first case they said about that) I doubt they could travel far to see each other everyday, plus... I'm not sure if anywhere states where she lives (?) and it's got to be far enough away that Kogorou and Eri don't just keep on bumping into each other everywhere...

Either way, look at the DB. Look at how far they go without their parents having an INCLINE of concern! XD I have a feeling that Shinichi and Ran had the same ability when they were seven as long as they didn't go out after bed-time and they were home by the time dinner was on the table. lol
