Both seem okay for me, but I think I'll go with Furinkazan.

This, I had to look it up to remember it, I mean it was a good case, but the name doesn't stick with me. Been better to call it "Waterfall Shrine Case" because that's how I remember it xDterra wrote: Furinkazan

It was a great case, but Furinkazan was a really fun special.

But that would hint at the killer's MO, well sort of.Mead wrote:This, I had to look it up to remember it, I mean it was a good case, but the name doesn't stick with me. Been better to call it "Waterfall Shrine Case" because that's how I remember it xDterra wrote: Furinkazan

Man will go down into the pit, and all his thoughts will perish. The uneasy consciousness, which in this obscure corner has for a brief space broken the contented silence of the universe, will be at rest. Matter will know itself no longer. 'Imperishable monuments' and 'immortal deeds,' death itself, and love stronger than death, will be as though they had never been."

furinkazen. hands down. a good battle strategy, both kazuha and ran embarrased and a kick ass fight scene

Re: DC Specials Contest: 52 vs 516-517
The one thing I really didn't like about the Furinkazan case was how the killer was someone they barely ever focused on, other than a few clues that were ridiculously impossible to catch on the first watch. I love hard cases, but not those kind of cases. That just felt cheap.
This is a hard choice. While the Furinkazan case has that problem, the Mist Goblin case's murders were... a little too ridiculous. The whole way it was done sounds like something Gosho would try now-a-days. I mean, it was so involved, how would anyone reading the manga or watching the show ever figure out the entire procedure? However, it was pretty easy to spot the killer.
I think I'll go with the Mist Goblin case slightly edging out the Furinkazan case.

Chose Mist Goblin simply since I haven't watched Furinkazan yet. (Trying to go back and watch every single ep. in order, that way I know which episodes I haven't actually watched yet.)

516-517 (Furinkazan).
I like how Kogoro (With Conan) were hired by one family,
while Heiji was hired by the other family to investigate one murder.
Quite interesting. I would like to see more episodes of Shinichi/Conan vs Heiji on the same murder case..
