Hello.
Today, marks my 1st month of stay here in the DCTP forums.
With that said, I'd like to have a more thorough introduction of myself. like anybody cares
First off, the following here, is my great Detective Conan journey:

In 2001, the country where I came from started broadcasting DC. I was in 1st grade back then. It was a great show. And still is! It was frustrating because I only get to watch it during summer breaks and when there's holidays because its show time is during mornings! I hated it! Because I had to go to school. >.< Why can't they show it during the afternoon just like the other animés so that I can watch it AFTER school. But oh well.. the journey continues..
Interlude: So yeah, I was only able to watch it mostly during summers because there's no school. Which means, I wasn't able to watch ALL the episodes available at that time. But as a kid, I so love every bit of each episode: solving the cases, the gadgets(man! the gadgets!; i was even imitating Conan using his bowtie, stun gun, & shoes), how Conan always managed to get away from Ran's suspicions, etc.
2013: I was bored. One day, I was just starin' at the computer's screen and out of nowhere I thought of Conan. I wondered how he was doin'.. Since it was more than ten years, I bet the story is done.. I wonder what happened to him and Ran. I'm so excited to see him as Shinichi! And then, and then.. *the story of me and mangas: i wasn't aware of the existence of mangas (in which most animés are derived from) until around 2010.. * i checked this manga site and looked for DC.. clicked the latest chapter.. then, then,..
WTH?!! why am i still seeing a little boy and who is this dark-skinned dude??! what is this?? is it not done yet??! All these years, what happened??! and then i calmed down.. ok.. relax.. there are completed animés where the manga it was adapted from are not yet done..
Months passed. I came home from an interview and had nothing better to do. >.< I decided to watch an episode. AN! = ONE! I warned myself to just watch only one! Then I found myself watching it straight for hours non stop. T_T
For over a month of watching from ep.1 to latest ep., I got to see for the first time new characters that I wasn't able to see when I was a kid! >_< They are:..
Heiji.
Of all the many episodes that I wasn't able to watch when I was a kid, one was Heiji's very first appearance! Actually, I wasn't even able to watch an episode with him in it when I was a kid. At school back then, I heard my classmates saying Conan came back as Shinichi. I was like.. WHAT??! WHY.. WHEN??! HOW??! It was only this year that I was able to see that episode. I was so happy T_T xD To think it was this dark-skinned dude that was the reason Shinichi came back at least temporarily. Hold it, come to think of it, why did Heiji had a liquor with him in the first place??! Being a son of a high ranking police officer and all.. hmm..
Haibara.
The very first time I saw this evil-eyed yawny girl is in one of the DC openings. I was like, wth is wrong with the animé producers??! Who the heck is this girl smiling intimidatingly while Conan has a shocked face and all. My thoughts of Haibara seeing her in the opening and not yet in the anime episodes itself is that she is also one of the victims shrunken like Shinichi.. I was pissed 'coz of the animé people spoiling her being in the story in the future and at the same time excited 'coz why would she appear in the opening if she is just another shrunken person..It's thanks to her addition in the story that the Detective Boys episodes(which I found very exciting when I was a kid) are not boring anymore..and.. and.. the conan and ai interactions!!!*scream*!!!
Kaitou Kid.
Oh gosh. His very first appearance. I thought it was just a gag of how will Conan handle Lupin III if they ever meet and they actually will!. >.< Because come on, after a typical case/episode of murder comes a story of a detective catching a flashy thief. Up until I reached the latest episode of DC, I researched Kaitou Kid and found out that he's actually one of DC's author's creation too and was even created before Detective Conan itself.

Right now. I am waiting for the 700th episode of the great Detective Conan!

..all the 699 DC anime episodes
..all Kaitou Kid specials
..all 16 DC movies.
Read..
..all Magic Kaito chapters (the phantom lady story being the latest, right?)
Not yet watched the:
-OVAs
-Magic files? (idk. but are these different..)
-latest movie
-live action
-and other specials not mentioned
Not yet read the:
-other Gosho's works (i wanna read it all! yaiba, all his one shots, etc.)
-DC manga (i'd like to read it when the series is over which i think is far from near xD.. i don't think i can bear waiting for the next chapter every week.. does anybody knows the feeling of emptiness while waiting for the latest release and the frustration when there's inevitable breaks that has to and will occur.. i am not complaining and i never will.. it is an unavoidable feeling too you know.. like my situation with one piece and naruto right now..

where is the best place/what is the best site to buy the manga?
is buying case closed manga worth it?? i mean.. in case closed.. the characters' names are changed right?? i think i can bear with that as long as it follows closely to the original story.. i've read somewhere that Vermouth's catchphrase were changed in case closed, is that true??
Pardon my many questions.. I can research regarding the matter but suggestions/answers are/will be greatly/sincerely/definitely appreciated by this apprentice of our beloved cool guy.

I first encountered DCTP at around the 125th episode. The translations, timing, font style, translators' notes, quality, etc. are all superb! Never thought the time had to come that the staff had to stop the stuff.
That's why, it was in my checklist literally!, that when I reach the latest ep, visiting DCTP's site is a must.
Hesitatingly registering as a member, I found myself enjoying the most peaceful forum in the universe. This community is the most organized, again most peaceful, most fun, and the hypest i'm running out of superlative adjective xD.
I haven't been actively participating in discussions because I'm trying my best not to come across with any spoilers. I haven't even touch the Story Discussion part of this forum because of the said reason.
On another note, let me share my experiences/questions from the whole month i have been here.
-Everybody is fun, at most, respectful, and hyper?
-What's up with the cookies??.. so far, i have only received a plushie.. thank you Raifuujin
-I have only mostly been reading threads and I enjoy most of the arguments and debates..
I just have to share this:
.Whenever this Girl19 is debating with someone and the other party presented an argument that has a very strong point *i will be like: "oooooooooohhhhhh.."→ reading it literally as a long oh.. with a monotonous tone*, he/she(Girl19) always manage to give a very good counter argument too! *and i will be like: "OH!!!!!!!"→literally a very loud shout of oh! HAHA! →imagine how sports team's fans shout when the team scores or something.. yeah.. it's like that!*
.I also enjoy this Eve's arguments.. but, why is it when somebody quotes his/her(Eve) posts, the name will change to khinkhun was it??
.There's also this Jamesrye that gives cookies to everybody and calms people down when the arguments gets heated.. i think he/she(Jamesrye) doesn't like novel-like posts?? .. but he/she himself/herself posts walls and walls of texts which in all fairness are enjoyable to read..
.There's this Conia too.. i find it funny.. that while other people are defending their statements with tons of sentences.. he/she(Conia) finishes the battle with only few words or just a sentence. well, i haven't read everything yet but that's at least what i have noticed..
-What is the mafia game? i don't understand how it works..
-What are community heroes?
-Is Jd- like the boss here in DCTP?
