Introductions
Hello, I'm Treyvoni Fox and I just started posting yesterday.
I'm in my last semester of University and have finished my coursework in my major, Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and am now just finishing up my minor, Biology along with my concentrations, Psychobiology of Addictions and Clinical Psychology. Although I don't have a fancy paper with a degree on it yet, I am a member of the APA (American Psychological Association) and a researcher on campus.
I am hoping to get into a doctorate programme to continue learning psychology in the future, and all the programmes I have applied to are in Cognitive Neurosystems which is my one true love. Needless to say, I do know a lot of biology and brain mechanisms. I will post long rambles about them, so I want to apologize for that right now.
I've been a fan of Detective Conan since before College, although I have never watched the Anime and only this past winter break have I watched the Movies. On the other hand, I have read and reread the manga several times, so I hope I can contribute.
Besides obsessively reading in my spare time, I am also a writer and a painter although I would not consider myself particularly good at either.
Either way, I'm glad to be here!

By the way... what exactly are Cognitive Neurosystems?

I might wake up early and go running. I also might wake up and win the lottery. The odds are about the same.

Re: Introductions
Thank you everyone! But Cognitive Neurosystems (Or Neuro Systems) are the neurophysiological principles behind human (in my case, since I do human and not animal work) behaviors in perception, emotion, learning and memory, language, movement and spatial orientation. Specifically I want to continue research in decision making and attention.Commi-Ninja wrote: By the way... what exactly are Cognitive Neurosystems?
I suppose you could say it looks at the biological reasons for why the brain works like it does, and if the brain is working like this, than how does the person act because of their brain.
I like this Manga because Gosho plays with this idea a lot as well. See Conan and Ai, as despite the fact they have biologically changed their bodies, their 'minds' are the same. What makes a mind different from a brain? That's one of the core questions that a Cognitive Psychologist researches. Depending on their paradigm, they all have a different answer too.

It's okay. It's not only the avatar.
I got confused between two people based on user name.

No matter, that is easily changed! I tend to rotate avatars and signatures anyway.
