If you aren't all that far in the manga, beware of story discussion which will spoil all the plotlines. General discussion may spoil some things too. If you are reading scanlations, some manga chapters are translated badly, especially in the Sherry and Vermouth arcs where I would suggest watching the corresponding anime for anything that looks sketchily translated and plot related. People will be glad to clear up any questions you may have without spoiling anything coming later.

Here is a link you may like to read when you get to a certain point in the manga. I strongly recommend not clicking on it until you finish with the appropriate arc.
•How Conan figured out the identities of the various suspicious people in the Vermouth arc by The Blind - Do not read until you finish with Volume 42 file 10 / chapter 434

There are also several lists of plot only chapters floating around which can speed up your reading time, but I recommend going through all the chapters and taking your time with the mysteries because it is more fun that way.

Don't worry, you'll meet lots of friends in the course of your stay here, like bears, onions, mad scientists, and ninja assassins. A lot of skirmishes happen between members, and you might get involved, but please do not try to even utter a single insult against Ai, if you don't want to be squashed, chopped, burned, tortured, pitch-forked or poked by the AiCons. Of course, the same applies to Kaitou KID. Though I reckon it's covered already by the mods.
