Anyone on DCTP like Cowboy Bebop? I think it's a great anime... And the fandom's pretty cool.

never understood the hype with this show, it was average at best honestly

I think this show is one of the rare ones where I prefer the English dub to the original.

Cowboy Bebop's hype isn't mostly because it's amazing, it's because it's one of the better introductory shows because it's easily accessible to western audiences. So you can show someone who watches no anime Bebop and they'll think it's pretty awesome, but if you showed them they probably wouldn't like it as much.

It's above average for me, but a few scenes like when Ed leaves and when Spike fights against Vicious are absolutely brilliant.

Wicky's gettin a taste of the entry level stuff eh? Not that it's bad, everyone's done it.

I don't really like Bebop that much.  It has good music, and some nice episodes, but its kind of overrated.  It's got historical legacy, thats about it.

I saw what was maybe the final episode once like 7 years ago...

...need to see it all someday.

the music is amazing, I forgot to mention that. What do you mean by entry level stuff?

I have never even heard of it.
Might have to look this up one day.

I've seen maybe half of an episode...it didn't seem very interesting

Most people know it from when Cartoon Network was still good. It might have been their first exposure to a more adult level of animation/content. Anime wasn't as easily accessible back then. If you compare it to what else was available at the time then I think a lot of the hype is justifiable.

Ahem anyways ya I love cowboy bebop.

I just love the design of the technology and the world.  In the future yet familiar.  Didn't play up the technology but treated it as something normal, like cars and dryers that look like TVs.  I think the style is beautiful.   

I like Cowboy bebop. It's been a long time since the last time I saw it.
I really like the music!
