I just wanted to ask, does this happen to anyone else?? Whenever i finish an anime, even if it may be a rewatch, I feel so sad...... I just want to lay on my bed, i dont want to go to classes, i dont want to code i dont want to do anything. I usually snap out of it in 4-7 days, but sometimes it makes me scared to start an anime/LN as i react negatively to endings....

I sometimes get that "awww, I can't watch any more new episodes..." sadness, and then I spend a few days/weeks obsessively reading fanfic and daydreaming relentlessly about the show, and then at some point either a new series catches my obsession or my Pokemon obsession resurfaces and I get distracted.

Happens to me a lot. 7 times out of 10 probably.

It is entirely possible I've been in a state of post-Welcome to the NHK! depression for the past 4 years, just not for that reason. :V
This has never happened to me, barring maybe School Rumble's manga. Probably because I sort of juggle a bunch of things instead of focusing on anything. I've literally not focused on one single anime since my first time going through Conan. My currently watching anime list is at like 9 and I usually have 3+ games I'm playing around the same time.

No. I only feel
that lethargic from stress, sickness, and/or sleep deprivation.
Now, on the other hand, I do get the "I want to watch anime, but I don't want to watch any of the anime I actually I have on hand" feeling all of the time.

I got that feeling from the end of the FMA manga. Just the realization that it was over, and there wouldn't be any more chapters. (I hate to think about what will happen if/when DC ends...
)

I think my reaction to DC ending will probably be very similar to my reaction to InuYasha ending.
ABOUT BLOODY TIME.

Well I feel almost the same way when I finish a really good book, a videogame or things like that. I think it's because you spend a lot of time with it, and it probably stir up some kind of emotion, and when it's all over it just feels a bit empty, because you won't feel those emotions anymore (for that reason). That's how I feel anyway.
I think the best remedy is to start on a new project. (a new series, a new book, a new game, or whatever)

About 3 years ago, i watched DC straight from ep 346 to 621 straight in 7 days. Parents were out and i had the whole house to myself. I would wake up, brush my teeth, set up the treadmill and then run while watching DC till i brushed again before sleeping. When the marathon was over, the hollowness and emptiness i felt was indescribable. It was my first ever anime withdrawal. So, I dont think i could deal with DC ending TBH. I enjoy reading the manga and writing down a deduction sheet for every case. I want it to continue.

I do that now-a-days, but it also makes me feel very guilty and in a way unfaithful to the anime that i just finished... Its weird.... But i just feel that way, cant help it!!

Do you mean "post-anime depression" as "depression for a sad ending" or "depression for an interesting plot having come to an end"?

When it came to Wolf's Rain, it was both. I'm still recovering from that series.

I have that too sometimes, when I'm really attached to a story (anime, manga, movie, book whatever)
But I'm daydreaming a lot anyway, so I don't have a big problem dealing with it XD

I like sometimes to think about what I just seen or read if the stroy at least barely touched some philosophical aspects. But I'm not really depressed. For sure I would suggest for that Shin Sekai Yori, and (well unknown I think...) "Please Save My Earth".
