Re: Your Top 10 Favorite Anime/Manga series
I haven't watched much anime, so here's my list for manga:
1. Detective Conan (obsessed )
2. Black Cat (can't decide whether I hate or love the ending. BTW, the anime is WAY different from the manga!)
3. Skip Beat
4. Magic Kaito (WOOT! KAITOU KID!)
5. Imadoki (very romantic )
6. After School Nightmare (The series that got me hooked on manga! The art sucks, but its a good plot line. Hate the ending. )
7. Chibi Vampire (also known as Karin. Do not be fooled by the name. It is a very good series.)
8. La Corda d'Oro (Weird, but strangely enthralling)
9. Millennium Snow (By the author of Oran High School Host Club. Was discontinued after only 2 volumes. Tear.)
10. Girl Got Game (Woot! Basketball! The main theme is a bit like the movie She's the Man.)
I'm sure I've read other ones but my mind is drawing a blank right now. Too much school. (Hehe, gotta love emotes)

1. Detective Conan (no contest for me.)
2. Black Cat (Manga, as I haven't actually seen any of the anime. I've only read the first 7 volumes, though.)
3. Fruits Basket (Manga, mostly. The anime is okay, but not the best.)
4. Mobile Suit Gundam (I've seen only the first two episodes, but I'm hooked. I just need some time to watch the rest...)
5. Hanazakari no Kimitachi e (Manga, but the J-Drama is amusing in all of it's weirdness...)
6. Spiral: Suiri no Kizuna (Anime more than manga, simply because I've only read two volumes... -.-)
7. Fullmetal Alchemist
8. Yu-gi-oh! Duel Monsters (What can I say? It's weird and yet amusing. Perhaps it's amusing because it's weird...?)
9. Yu-gi-oh! GX (Especially the crack-dub. Not that the original was much better, to be perfectly honest.)
10. Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle (Manga. Haven't watched more than the first episode of the anime. Also haven't read the last two volumes of the manga, but whatever. I will eventually.)
I would like to mention as well: Bleach (I've seen the series only in pieces, but it seemed pretty interesting.), Cardcaptor Sakura (definitely a cute series), Sailor Moon (probably my first anime experience, so it's here for nostalgia purposes), Pokemon (maybe my second anime, I can't remember too well at the moment), and Romeo x Juliet (I'm a sucker for Shakespeare...).
Yeah, I think that's about it.

Re: Your Top 10 Favorite Anime/Manga series
Err...I can't really order them, b/c it's so close and changes depending on my mood...O_O
Top Ten (in some order):
Baccano!
Death Note
Neon Genesis Evangelion
Code Geass
X
Soul Eater
RahXephon
Sengoku Basara
Darker than Black
Ergo Proxy
Honorable mentions to: Noir, Madlax, Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom, Shangri-La, Basilisk, Kemono no Souja Erin, Shingetsutan Tsukihime, Last Exile, Samurai Champloo, and many more...lol
I don't really include ongoing series b/c I don't feel like I can really judge an anime until it's complete...to me, endings are very important.

Re: Your Top 10 Favorite Anime/Manga series
i remember the 2nd movie ending was so awesome it made my brother cry. lol. but to his defence he was about 9 years old at the time ah yeah, you have to watch the entire thing with sound to get used to the voices xDkarisama wrote:LOL, I actually watched CCS on my old computer which didn't have sound about 2 years ago, so I had to stick to the subtitles. But after rewatching the first episodes on my new laptop, oh god, I hate Tomoyo's voice ;_; Couldn't they find another seiyuu?caribou wrote:OH YEAH! CCS IS adorable~ I watched it when I was 5 and found it insanely cute. Kero-chan! <3 The storyline is very well-thought out too. It'll always be a top 10 for me, seeing as it's the first anime I watched.
Yeah, I saw both the movies though I found the first one a bit boring. The second one was AWESOME! The SxS relationship is brilliantly portrayed. I was extremely sad when I finished watching the series, which had a cliffhanger, and had to wait 2 months for the depression to wear off and be able to watch the second movie. XD I liked the second movie a LOT, but Sakura's "DAISUKI!" at the end was maddeningly corny and high-pitched. Ughh.
Guess I'll have to rewatch the series with sound sometime. :/
Did you like the openings? OP3 - Purachina is my favourite <3, and Kini naru Aitsu [an insert song from the elevator episode] is cute too. <3
I love Purachina!! loll. I liked the song and the video too |)
i saw someone list DORAEMON as their top choice and i cant remember if i included it but i definitely SHOULD HAVE, it truly is awesome and it shaped my whole childhood and i was so upset when the mangaka passed away... ;___;

Haha, me too! Sailor Moon is definitely in my childhood memory. Two years ago I re-watched them on Veoh since I was so bored. It was actually really funny. If you want, I can give you the website because the provider has all the episodes.Xela wrote:

I loved Sailor Moon as a kid too!! :0 but strangely I can't remember much about it now, that's why I didn't list it. :/ I should look for it online or something, relive my childhood.ShinRan36 wrote: 7.) Sailoor moon xD (Childhood xD I loved the sailor star lights looool )

Re: Your Top 10 Favorite Anime/Manga series
I only watched Hana-Kimi in Taiwanese drama since I'm from Taiwan. Even though I never read the manga, I knew what happened in it since my friend told me a lot of the plot. Hana-Kimi is really amazing. I watched a little the J-drama for that but I like the Taiwanese version better because it's way funnier. Well that's just my opinion.Commi-Ninja wrote: 1. Since I haven't watch a lot of anime yet, I don't think I have ten, haha. And I don't think I can rank them so I'm just going to type them up in whatever order they came to my mind.
1. Detective Conan
2. Death Note
3. Vampire Knight/Vampire Knight Guilty
4. Naruto/Naruto Shippuuden
5. Sailor Moon (My childhood anime)
6. Kodomo no Omocha (Another one from my childhood)
7. Slam Dunk (another childhood one)
8. Mirumo de Pon
That's pretty much it unless I can recall anything else.
