Marowak's death emotionally traumatized me as a kid, okay T_T I still sit up at night, eating Ben & Jerry's out of the tub and screaming "WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY" into the night....

So when are those event Pokemon coming out?

For reference, these were found by some guy playing with the wild encounter coding. We'll eventually see them, but it's possible that won't be until Z comes out years from now.

Also, I keep going back and forth between MegaZardY and MegaToise as my mega of choice. At least I've finally settled on my lead!

You mean he was hacking the game?

From what I have heard it's not a simple procedure to alter the game, and it isn't going to open a hacked mons floodgate. On the other-hand there is news of a possible breeding RNG abuse method.

I haven't researched about it, but it shouldn't be that hard to force a wild encounter of any pokemon. Unless programmers take the extra work to take measures to prevent this hacks, forcing a wild encounter can be as easy as changing 3 digits in the code.
Abusing RNG shouldn't bring out new offsprings. Again, I insist that I haven't researched about this and it is possible that new methods are present now in 6th gen, but the species of the baby breed is always determined by the mother that's in the daycare, or the father if Ditto, RNG just wouldn't affect this process.

They have taken measures to make it more difficult to hack in general. I think the guy doing the spoilers forced an unusual upgrade to his system by spoofing the official nintendo site. I haven't really researched the issue more than that.

As for the RNG abuse, I hear it is for getting perfect IV pokes. Dunno if the technique has been confirmed though.

Up to 5th Gen (And most likely in 6th Gen too) RNG was abused to get a desired personality value, which is 4 strings of 8 bits, the first 2 strings being created by a random process and the last 2 by a different one. This string of 32 bits determines a pokemon's IVs, ability to be shiny, gender, some few decision-making on which description a pokemon gets and some few other stuff. This doesn't include the pokemon's species, so RNG can't make a new pokemon appear where it shouldn't. It seems safe to assume that the game was hacked to be able to show this (legally) unobtainable pokemon as of yet.
Spoiler:
As for mega Latios, I can only assume the game was hacked to access a Latiosite which is meant to be obtained in the game at some point or some crazy artist that drew and copypasted a supposed form of it.
EDIT: So now that I have much more free time, I decided to try out some of the new fishing mechanisms. Hello shiny Poliwhirl and shiny Luvdisc <3

The RNG abuse has been confirmed. It doesn't grant perfect, but 5 out of 6 perfect IVs. Granted, you need to have the parents with max IVs first, but with the friend Safari that isn't too hard.

Ah, I didn't mean to imply the hacker and the RNG abuse were by the same person or used similar techniques. The RNG abuse method was discovered by an entirely different person than the hacking person. The hacking person is definitely a hacker no question about that.

I think the hacking forced different forms to appear in the wild. That's how they got the dif vivillions. If it was actually mega-evolved it would have the icon by its name.

If the parents need max IVs, are you sure you're not just talking about using the Destiny Knot to transfer IVs? Because in Gen 6 it now transfers 5 random IVs from the parents to the offspring, which sounds exactly like what you described. Combining that with the friend Safari, I'm probably gonna use that to try and get maxed Eevees \o/

Destiny Knot is part of it, but it only transfer 5, and 5 at random. You don't need perfect parents, as that'd be redundant. You just need one with 3 and one with 2, which isn't too hard overall. Then, you mix/match the parents using the method to ensure the child has 5 IVs that are maxed. But you need a lot of parents with those various max iv combinations to mix/match with.
